I'll print a few of at work too. Not quite sure on which option to chose, to close to call, but tending to side with the oe version. Very much looking forward to catching a few of you next summer, if my escy is presenting herself in an appropriate manner.

I haven't seen a lotus cortina advertised for ages. Beautiful motors. Got to be reaching the 40k mark now. A no let go item for sure.

Colr6 i was indeed joking. Your Anglia looks outstanding . Once i have my mk2 upto fitness i plan to have my garage extended, or rehouse the motorcycles. Need a mk1 escort next but after that im thinking Anglia or Pop. Big plans and wanting to live the Dream . Bloody hate football , Realization of ones passion hey..
-
Sorry for my ignorance but what is an Anglia ? Have speed read this thread. So please excuse me. Which fords that have been recently produced can you honestly say will become classics in the future ? I can only think of 1, being the mk2 rs focus. Probably fords best ever car, without counting the us market.

I maybe interested .Its hard to make an offer without more info. Obviously twin 40's are key. Has the head been ported ? Valve seats hardened ? cam / springs / pistons etc etc ?
-
Hi. Do you have a pic ? How much you thinking ?

Cheers pal. I'm in Stratford quite often, normally on one of my bikes. Will look out for the classic car meets. I'll look out for your car.
-
Not far then. Can you recommend any local'ish meets/fairs ? Nice motor too pal. Mexico ? Is it signal yellow ? planning on keeping mine a very long time, so have decided to go signal yellow, for future colour matching.

Hi. Removed leaf springs yesturday. Removed the original bushes. Painted and refitted with new poly bushes. What a difference. So much firmer and it now sits 3/4" higher, can't believe they have made such a difference. Hopefully she will now be able to handle some 7j wheels

Always better to be safe rather than sorry. I'm pretty much always on Ebay searching for parts . The amount of log books that keep popping up is unreal. Definitely opened my eyes.- 26 replies

Hi. Has anybody purchased one of these spoilers recently? The guy in Australia is still advertising them . Was wondering if the quality has improved, or are they still not as good as an old original? I see he makes and sells different grades .

Seems there genuinely not as good as they used to be. As a newbe I think they will be the best for me lol. I've previously owned 6 mk2 escorts, back in the day. Just getting back into it, with passion. Thanks for the heads up. I don't mind a wkend away. Need so much gear. Would prefer to meet fellow enthusiast's. And obviously have a good look at the parts that I'm buying. Have watched the 2016 snowdonia tour on here a few times. Absolutely amazing.

Hi all. I'm new to restoration, and EBay is killing me lol. Parts are so scarce, when they do pop up they are miles away. I'm in the Midlands. Can you please recommend the best meets/fairs, I'm interested in both. I'll be at the nec in a few wks. But would like to set some dates for 2017. Thanks

Hi. Thanks for confirming the colour. Hoping to have it resprayed next yr. Only chose the car because of the colour, love it. I'm looking at changing the leafs and shocks. I lowered the rear with 2inch blocks. Looks to be sitting right but when hitting bumps in the road the rear wheels rub on rear mudguard flaps. I've just purchased a full set of poly Bushes so will try them 1st. The 116lb single leafs seem hard to source. Most I've seen are 146lbs which seem to hard for road use. Thanks for all the advice, very much appreciated.

Cheers m8. Will get a pair ordered

Hi guys. I only purchased my SA 1600 sport because it was sunflower yellow lol. I am very tempted to add a few horses tho. Is changing the axle to an English one as straight forward as it looks or do mods need to be made ? Cheers Steve

Hi. Brakes, suspension ,wheels , interior, engine and then paint lol . Everything needs to be upgraded. Thought I'd buy a runner so can be used as I go along. Absolutely Loving it

Hi. New member. Have lots to learn. Looks like I'm in the right place. Thanks guys. Recently purchased a mk2 1600 sport to restore. I'll add pic. It is a SA import. The seller told me it is sunflower yellow. The tag states s yellow. Does any body know if there was such a colour as ford sunflower yellow ? Or should it be signal yellow ? Thanks Steve
