The mk1 started life as a 1300e but now has a 2L pinto fitted with five speed box (still have the original engine for it) the colour is jade metallic green which is really rare and the main reason I bought it, the scooby is not mine that used to belong to a friend of mine.

Spot on lol 😁 it was pushing out 148 bhp on 40 dcoes, worked cylinder head, kent rl30 camshaft, standard 205 block bottom end with a lightened flywheel, it now has 45 Dhla dellortos on it so I am hoping it will be putting out a little bit more

Most of the mods/work they did to the car were quite good and they did a nice job of painting it but one thing I cannot understand is why spend money on uprated front struts/brakes/LSD diff which all costs a fair bit only to leave out simple cheaper things like suspension bushes which looked worn out?

Personally I think if the site is to evolve and continue to thrive long term then 80s fords should be allowed into the fold so to speak, this is just an idea but maybe as a trial run start up a separate 80s section and use that to gauge general interest and if it is popular then look to expand it from there. -
continental sports might be a bit pricey but definitly well worth it got mine for 65 each
