I think its sh*t when this sort of thing happens,you should'nt just have to deal with it,after all its your hard earned,its all well and good saying collect the item to be safe but sometimes its not that easy or convienient and if the seller of said item offers postage as a service then should have the decency to protect the item with sufficient packaging I suggest putting up a post on the forum where this person is a member,you dont even have to give full details of whats gone on(well not at first depending on if he answers)generally it seems people that dodge emails or pm's to try and wriggle out of a potentially tricky situation will often reply to a post on the public forum as if they dont it wiil soon become clear to all whats gone on,thats my opinon anyway mate,i hope you get it sorted

why not try shorter springs on the coilovers? I did look at possible solutions Lee but the dampers are fully compressed so im sure they wont go any shorter I gave Gaz a call today and i need to find a pair of Mexico/RS2000(with the exeption of the ones with moulded steering arms) or any capri legs apart form the 3.0,so if anyone has some old manky struts laying about with good stub axles let me know

Hmm.ive got some 2.8i struts here but they have already been converted to coilover,but when i fitted them to the car its sitting too high,so i think im going to get rid of those and try and fine some old knackered rs shocks cheap that i can give to Gaz in exchange,think i will give them a bell to find out exactly what i can use,cheers mate

I need to identify these struts if anyone can help,the chap says they're from a 1300 mk1 escort xl but they have removable steering arms ? im after some old struts to take to Gaz to have them made into coilovers for my mk2 escort,does it matter that these are from a mk1 help please

Antz,a 244 with a set of well balanced and set up carbs will run fine even for round the town driving imo AND if then you decide further down the line you want to ''spec up'' the engine then you already have a decent cam to be getting on with,if you use the 234 and then at a later date decide you want bigger and better,its an engine out and take to pieces job 244

I got my kit from Rally Design and it fitted ok had to guess on spring lenght though we'll see what its like when i put the wheels back on
