Wow, that's so cool! I will re watch it and have a good look! That's a small world my dad lives in Stalmine so not far from Garstang. When I was a kid my dad would take me to that sweet shop that was long and thin for a ice cream and a walk down the river bit like a weir/ resivour as I can remember it. Great memories 👌🏻 -

Its no worse mate, my mates went to uni in Manchester so had plenty of nights out in fallowfield, and up the city. People are always mostly friendly up north. Least they say hiya before they bang you🤣 -

Love them, they suit the car so well! Nice one, love a bit of northern soul 👌🏻 bit before my time but like it. The film Nothern Soul is good! I was brought up more with zone and sequins and the Palace tunes! Always a pleasure to see a fellow sandgrown one. -

I like the look, they look smart on 50's, it's always a mix bag, I did a bit of research before and went for the middle ground and had a few people message me. Kinda pay your money and take your chance, I think the look looks better with 50's, bigger sidewalls never look cool do they🤣 -

Thank you dave, I think the gold compliments the orange stripe and breaks up the brown a bit. -

Yes your definitely right. I would always keep all the parts, engine etc I take off in case for whatever reason I can put it to back to standad. As they are getting quite old and most have been tinkered around with or modified, unmolested original ones are properly more sort after in some aspects. If it makes money in the future great, if not I'm not fussed either way. It only matters when you come to sell it at the end of the day and I plan to keep it, it's not the most important factor for me. -

Agh wow bet it's ace that, lots of fun! I'd love a XPack yb rs2000 that's the dream one for me!! Exactly, you do whatever you feel with what you have, I'd never of dream of telling someone not to because it's not to my taste or liking. It's what makes the world so good, variation! I want a bit of a sleeper vibe going on, once you start one bit you need to do it all tho, engine, box, brakes, suspension, diff, body. It never ends🤣 -

Hiya, and thank you for the comments very kind, yes people on here don't dig the silver/black plates. I like them and yes I keep the originals in the boot incase I get a tug. I like the gold ones they are lovely. I've had mine a year, bought it off a lad who I work with who had it for 15 years. He originally got it off a old chap in Essex. Mine certainly usable but not mint at all. I will get it fully restored in the future. She's only done 43,000 miles so quite low. I'm going to get it painted as it is now just as it should be, the interior is really tidy so that's good as that's the hard bits to find. Not for the purists but it's mine and I want more power so a 2.0 zetec on twin 45s, piper cams, Simpson manifold etc going in it so on with building that. I want it looking as originals as possible but to go well. Mines a 1.3 but still not very quick. I don't ever plan on selling it so not a concern for being totally standad. If that's your thing great, but each to their own, it wouldn't be for all to be the same. It's not for anyone else. I'm going to plow some money into her so keep her around for a lot longer time. I did buy some gold/silver 7x13 minilights for her for the summer so will get them on at the weekend and see how she looks. I've got a Instagram page as EscortGoldcrest if you want to check it out and see the progress. Cheers Iain -

Yes I really like the chocolate interior in mine looks well. Seats are so big and comfy! They are really rare, they never made many to start with, I'd say it will be just above the Escort Capital now. -

Hi, thank you very much. I've been trying to find out how many are left, they recon about 26 harriers left, and apparently the goldcrests were the lowest numbers. I've heard on hear in around 2010 they were in single figures but not sure. You can't find that much about them as they were the end of run parts bin! Mines a August 1980 so right at the end. As I'm getting older the sable brown has grown on me, 10 years ago no. Must be growing up🤣 -
Thank you very much!

Cheers mate, I like it better than the old one, not everyone's cup of tea however! -
Hi all, I've had my Escort Goldcrest 1.3 for about 1 year now. Wanted a Mk2 since I was a kid I'm 42. Love driving it. I want to keep it a standad on the outside as I can but make it a bit quicker. Currently building a 2.0 Blacktop to chuck in her on 45's.
