If I remember correctly, the kick down works from a switch on the cable, which in turn operates the kickdown solenoid, so should not be a problem.

Bike carbs on engine with auto box? Would this combo work ok? Unable to drive manual for health reasons. On Pinto engine with A4LD trans. Cheers
