Hello Everyone I need to fit some sort of ariel to my MK1 Escort as i am going to put a radio in and i just wondered what you all think of the chrome roof mount ones that were around in the 70's.Obviously to do this i need to make a hole in my roof which is absolutely mint and seems criminal but i think these are the best looking ariels. Right i have tracked down this dum dum stuff and i just wondered if anyone knows how much i will need to do my two windows with it.It is avalible in 450grm tins so would one be enough or would i need more? Thanks

Drainholes??? I did'nt know there were any? And yes all of the rubber is pulled through onto the inside and there is no bulges on the outside anywhere

Does that mean they gotta come out again? And we started on the bottom right corner of the windscreen heading towards the passenger side and on the rear one we started in the bottom drivers side heading towards the passenger side and its both the drivers side bottom corners leading??

Ive gone out and looked again and its only leaking in one corner on each screen (both bottom drivers side corners???)

Where else could i have got them??? That was the only place i could find

I brought two new window rubbers from east kent trim and i fitted them in yesterday and ive gone out to my car today and the drivers foot well and the rear parcel shelf are soaked When i fitted the rubbers I pushed out the screens,removed the old rubber,cleaned around the edge of the screen's and then put the new rubber onto the screen,feed some string around the inner seal part.Then me and my mate aligned the screens and put pressure on while my dad pulled the string through they fitted in fine. So i really so not know whats wrong and to be honest i dont even want to look in my car at the moment because it is absolutely soaked in there Has anyone got any ideas as to what ive done wrong??

Hello All I have now finished almost everything on my Mk1 Escort and i need some new window rubbers for the front and rear screens to really finish it off. Does anyone know any good places where i can get these from and ones that are fairly easy to fit Any help would be really appreciated Cheers
