got somebody to do it he is a welding specialist used to work on my dads car everytime he got shunted and does a proper mint job and anybody who has seen my dads old red 1300e you would know wat i mean so he is doing the welding and then he sends me to this other guy for professional prep and painting just need the go ahead from insurance i guess £650

hmmm i dunno i didnt even know that place existed just kinda fell upon it while i was trying to find my way out of the industrial park.

i went to this place today just for a verbal quote and it turns out the bloke is currenlty building from scratch a escort mk1 rally car , hes done all the bodywork himself even made part of the rear panel coz he couldnt get one any wer hes doing a proper mint job of it its a rolling shell at the mo in gloss white with blue rs2000 stripes. he wants me to keep comeing back to see his progress,,,,,,,,, also turns oout that the guy is my girlfriends cousin its a small world!!!!

went to get quotes today and they are all saying the car is a write off im determind not to let that happen!!!!! if i wer not to claim on insurance then i can be fixed if i supply the rear panel etc and one workshop offered me a quote of £350 to cut out old panel insert new panel and smooth and paint it ?????? is that a good price. also at a different garrage this guy said to me if my dads mate at the workshop fitted the new panel he would smooth down and paint the new panel for £150 i will be getting the price for cutting and fitting the new pannel tomorow morning. and if that works out similar to the above one then il go for this one probably coz my dad will be working with him and he can make sure it aint getting bodged. please please please dont write it off mr insurance company

sorry that aint gonna hapen its rusting under their and its starting to get bad i wanna tackle it before it makes a hole. already been qouted 200 for paint work and il be getting me dads mate to weld up the holes and help me sort the rust.

ust spoke to the doris and yes she is inured and fully comp so she will be paying for it gonna go round getting quotes for the insurance company tomoz , once i fix my quickshift again coz its popped of again probs in foce from the hit. once i got quotes done. gonna get combined qoute wwith vinalroof off jobbie and get it painted and get everything done together hopefully asap and you never know i might be at ace this month. doubt it though

dont worry it never will i use this car every day and bassically all day. nothing will put me off driving it . at the end of the day ............ it gets dark sorry just had to say tht i know its lame. at the end of the day its a piece of metal i may be very attached to it but it gonna getfixed and atleast it wasnt the front of the car tht got hit coz tht would be a nightmare. its just the sound of the boot slaming up and down on the rear pannel when i go over bumps that makes me cringe still and the crash keeps playing back in my head

yer i must admit i was so upset as soon as the bitch hit me i didnt bother going to southend and just turnt round and went home again but i had to pull over a few times on the way home coz i was just too upset. im still in shock with what happened. it all happened so suddenly and i didnt do anything to cause this thats the anoying thing i was just rolling in slow moving traffic. ohh well.. il just have to go round a few places on monday get some quotes. il keep you all posted thanks for ya coments

went for a trip to southend today and as we came close to the sea side we wer in heavy traffic for about ten mins just creeping at a slow moving pace of 10mph when some stupid cow ploughed into the back of my escort. it made the loudes bang ive ever herd and the car flew forward and i had to hit the breaks before i hit the car in front,,,,,, i was furious i went crazy at the stupid doris that should of been concentrating on the road !!!!!!!!!!!! im so upset iv finally got my car looking how i want it and she ruins it. i bet she aint insured either!!!!!!!!!!!! the damage rear panel - fooked bumper - fooked rea light mounts - fooked lenses cracked base of boot bent up boot lid bent this is a pic of wat it looked like yesterday and wat it looks like today i wish i never left the house today i guess i cant make it to ace or box hill for a while... why me!!!!!

would multi leafs be stronger than single leafs?????? ive currently got single leafs on mine but was thinking of getting some multileafs

mine is lowered 2" all round and ever since i bought my peter lloyd system it doesent grind the bumps any more well designed i say! also 2" is probably the optimum lowereing height coz then you can have fun down the country lanes and not worry about smaking the bottom of the car off the floor.

okay the ship comes in in exactly 4 weeks but the problem is ive bassicaly bought everything already lol so now i have loads more to spend, decided not to get an engine just yet coz of my age and insurance etc so here is my list. 180 lbs _2" lowering springs ----- bought biliestein shocks -------- bought boot spoiler ------ bought roll top recaros ---- bought vinal roof removall and paint roof £200 (shal i or shant i.... will it be to much hassle than its worth with rust and stuff)????? strut brace £30 polybush kit £85 il have £600 left any ideas people?? wat other modifications should i do????? trying to avoid engine mods really until further notice. but would like to go a bit quicker??? maybe. beter diff (havent got a clue on ratios) 5 speed box ( for those long journeys and fuel economy??????) wat mods have you guys done that you realy recomend is worth it?????
