  13. This first photo was of me in 1992 wen my grandma took me to a pyo farm in her sport. She then sold it in 1993 now i've found it and bought it back she asked for a retake of the photo... Lol I reluctantly agreed..
  14. I meant strain as in lighting up the rear wheels it's such a simple but tough decision! The poll isn't helping either lol I loved the acceleration of my 4:1 but it's noisey
  15. I know it is a bit selfish lol I will do soon I've run out of money now just bought a LSD maybe next month il treat the passengers
  16. my xflow is quite modified it should be ok(fingers crossed lol) it's a 1700 from a caterham super 7 about 130bhp does a 4:1 put alot more strain than a 3:89? I thought I would have been the other way round?
  17. I think i will take It somewhere to get fitted then.. Their is a guy that builds and races the Morgans in the lemans near me i think it will be in safe hands with him he specializes in gearboxes and diffs and used to compete in mk2 escorts at races before he started Morgan racing.
  18. Bought a new steering wheel from PLR £90 also bought a sparco quick release off eBay £60 then I bought a old knakered boomerang GL mk2 steering wheel and cut it off it's boss, I then measured the height of my release boss and shortened the boss 85mm then I faced it flat and took it to brooklands welding services where they turned out a big washer on a lathe to weld to the boss so the release can bolt to it. Then I took it to work and had it sprayed Mazda crystal White Realy happy with how it come out also bought and fitted a brand new in box sparco seat from eBay £150 was a unwanted Christmas present I think it rrp at about £250. Fitted a treat and went on escort runners! I actually stay in the seat when I go round corners now lol what you all think ? Thanks steve
  19. I was just wondering what people prefer really I kind of miss the acceleration tbh from my 4:1 since fitting the 3:89 a few weeks ago. But on the other hand the 3:89 is 500 miles new and is very quiet I've got a 4 speed box at the moment but I have future plans of my dads spare 5speed for his rs which I've got my eyes on. I don't like driving too fast on motorway anyway really I'm very very tempted to go back to my noisey 4:1 lol last year it topped out a 99.9 mph on the rollers haha!
  20. Wahoo!! Got it in the post today!!! Are they easy to fit? I remember classic for doing a how to guide but I can't seem to find the mag anywhere..
  21. Are tran x diffs noisey? If so then I probably won't notice the worn noise from the 4.1
  22. they wer the idiots next to us manage to sling alcohol or come or sumin all over my mates car set their own tent on fire then keep feeding the fire with other people rubbish shouting rag and bone then they wer making flame throwers with deodrant cans then chucking the cans in the fire making them explode at about 3 in the morning!
  23. I will agree the revs are quite high on long journeys and it's making a worn wearing wheelbearing noise But then the 3:89 is new so I'm not sure weather to put it in the 4:1 till it goes completely
  24. As above I'm awaiting delivery of my new LSD very excited as I've been saving for about 4-5 months now! Should I fit it in my 3:89 that's in the car at the moment which is new? or shal I put it in my 4:1 I have spare in the garrage? Just wondering what you skiders out their prefer , the engines a 1700 so shouldn't be too much hassle spinning up the wheels in either diff? Thanks steve
  25. Janspeed has just split sent it back today I hope they fix/replace it before the 15th because I'm booked in for a rolling road and tuneup then the show that weekend if not my car can't make it
