  1. Nice pics......great seeing those of you who were able to make it to Wales . I'll upload some pics also on a separate thread
  2. MESSAGE FROM WALES TO ALL ATTENDING ON SUNDAY Dear all This will be an amazing sight and one not to be missed. This event is the 5th of its kind with the first one having just 23 cars attending. Since then it has grown and grown and has been featured in Classic Ford magazine. Efforts have been made to remain at the Ponderosa for the starting and finishing points but the venue is now not suitable due to many reasons, parking space, wind, rain, closing times of Cafe, etc. We are therefore extremely grateful to the management team at Rhug Estate who have welcomed us with open arms, and will provide many logistical advantages such as a conference room, private area for parking, massive undercover barn for over 200 cars when needed, tea and coffee, and they sell Bison Burgers!! On Sunday, the Midlander's will arrive at about 11.30 am and after a quick briefing, handing out of route maps and rally plaques, we will head off for a drive of the first stage. We will regroup after stage 1 at the White Liion in Cerrigydrudion for a cup of tea and a slice of cake and then drive stage 2 before returning to Rhug Estate by about 4pm. Timings are of course a rough guide. Participants should note that food at the venue will be available before and after the event and a packed lunch may be required for the stopping point but tea , coffee and cake will be provided by the hosts at a very reasonable rate. There is as always a lot of hard work and effort that goes into these events, especially from the 'Young blood' namely Ross from the Midlands. He has been an inspiration to this event, co-ordinating attendees, updating forum lists, making Rally plaques at his own expense etc etc so it is with great admiration that we once again thank him for his efforts. This event yet again remains free of charge and all that is requested is that you may make a small donation into the Hope House charity cans The strict discipline we always insist on regarding manner of driving applies as usual in order not to compromise any future events. We look forward to seeing you on the day AND THE WEATHER IS GOING TO BE GREAT ! Spectators always welcomed, but the tour itself is now fully booked sorry Any questions please feel free to ask Regards, Aled and Dave 07751976232 North Wales Classic Fords

  12. 10 days gone already and wish we were doing it all again
  13. It was a great day Mark.......it's what owning an OSF is all about and makes it all worthwhile
  14. Stunning Pics....great day ! Thanks for takig the trouble of sharing them......it takes time and effort. Well done
  15. Great pics Ross......nie to see pics from a different perspective. Glad everyone enjpyed the day. The weather does certainly help. Will have to hope football does not clash next year !!
  16. What a lovely day......and many thanks to all who attended, and also to those who couldn't make the run, but came to say hello at the Horseshoe Pass Big thanks also to RossMK2 from OSF who arranged the tour from the Midlands. It sure is great to see young blood involved with our cars. Ross even made tour plaques for us all which went down a storm Without people like Ross actually arranging days like these, the scene would not be the same. Some pics below using Dave's camera and Rich taking lots of the photo's as well, it was a team effort The Midlands Old Skool Ford Group........ Met North Wales Classic Fords....... We met at the Ponderosa Cafe on the Horseshoe Pass..... And we headed down the Ceiriog Valley, through Glynceiriog along the B4500 from Chirk all the way to the end to the lovely hamlet of Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog....... And went for a brew in the 17th century pub.... After waking this little hamlet up with the sound of roaring Fords, we climbed the very steep mountain side, to get to the top Whilst it was a little windy up there, the view over Llangollen was gorgeous with Snowdonia in the distance calling out for us at the end of August Then we descended for a couple of laps around Chirk Castle And stopped for some photos at the exit......if anyone wants a high res image, PM me with your email address (hopefully Rich took each car) Then, we made the last leg to the Thomas Telford Aqueduct at Trevor where we took a nervous walk across it Then we headed off back to the cars to say goodbye And before we departed.......we had a group pic, missing a few who we had thought had gone over the edge of the aqueduct Thanks again very much for attending......it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves and we look forward to meeting you all again next year
  17. I've just re- recc'ed the route , to make sure all is well and it is. Nothing too long this year......35 miles in total from the Ponderosa, and concluding in a different place....nearer for the Midlanders to go home. It's a glorious route, beautiful scenery. I don't think you will be disappointed The weather looks good.If anyone else fancies joining us, then feel free.....more the merrier. Anyone else who fancies being a passenger, feel free to meet us in your daily driver and hop in with someone. We'll get you back to your car afterwards Ponderosa cafe at 11 am, a bite to eat for some, then try and hit the road at 12.30.
  18. For once the weather looks very kind !!! http://uk.weather.com/weather/10day-Wrexham-UKXX0821
