my finest so far:
1962 mk3 Zephyr, it came to me as a rolling shell, with half an engine, gearbox, no prop, and no ID (no reg No and no chassis/vin) the guy I got it from had bought this as half a pair (one to do up and this was the spares car) after he had taken what he wanted to restore the other one I had what was left, I gave any useable parts to an enthusiast and after approx 100 hours hard graft fitted a complete Capri front end...crossmember, struts, steering rack etc.. not to mention welding in a complete L/H/R floor and fitted a 1.6 pinto lump/gearbox and custom made single piece prop
come race day all that was left of the original car was the body, back axle and steering wheel!
It was raced at Westworld pre 75 meeting in April last year where despite numerous problems it won me the DD and was taken home looking like this
it was then taken back for another meeting where my mate took it out in the DD and it finally ended up like this
better than going straight into the crusher eh?
