I know its slightly different but some guy knicked a case of champagne from work today and we got his number plate and pics of him on cctv and all the police said when we reported it is that someone will be over in a few days to collect the cctv! Gets my goat cuz they never do anything about it! They had his reg number and could easily have come and got the cctv images there and then but they'd rather let them get away with it first! We also had an attempted break in at work where all our phone, internet, alarm etc cables were cut in the night and the policeturned up over a week later to take statements after the criminal damage had been fixed! We were advised to leave the cables as they were but what good is a supermarket with no way of communicating with the outside world, no alarm, no ordering system, no way of recording wastage and we couldn't even do the reducing on the food because that all uses the internet these days! The police in my opinion are pants! If you've had one drink and something happens to you they don't wanna know about it! Pathetic! But if someone who's coked up and paraletic gets knocked out at ya local they'll shut the pub and make it a crime scene! WTF!!!!! Rant over
