  13. as emu said realy u can blow big money or do it on a budget. i just think people get obsesed with all the ally parts which are now comanding big money. when i first pinto'd my mk1 i just used a ally sump steel bellhousing and steel engine mounts from rally design. its retro ford in corby? the guy that does zetec/duratec conversions
  14. its already mounted that side on a RS not on jo's car it aint it runs up the o/s next to the exshaust
  15. tthe diffrance is that a 4door rear seat base is curved 2door square so on a 4door there is 2 extra bits of triangle carpet 4 that reason

  20. my escort wouldnt start so i big thanks to the guys that pushed the fairy up and down the car park trying to bump it. thanks to the capri owners who stayed with my other half while we shot off to get a tow rope. ended up with the AA coming out resetting the timing then tow starting it. got home about 1.30 this morning so to all those that help im truley gratefull thanks
  21. always thought they were cool you will have to bring it down to the runfold meet
  22. it wasnt only you jo with old ford issues my escort wouldnt start so i big thanks to the guys that pushed the fairy up and down the car park trying to bump it. thanks to the capri owners who stayed with my other half while we shot off to get a tow rope. ended up with the AA coming out resetting the timing then tow starting it. got home about 1.30 this morning so to all those that help im truley gratefull thanks
  23. the alternator bracket i doubt u will need as it drops the alt low enough to fit under the servo but i pressume yours is a lhd car so thats not an issue
  24. have you tried tickover s/e london/kent border?
  25. what gear box are u going to use? x-flow box will bolt straight on but will need a mix of x-flow/pinto clutch parts which places like retroford sell. if ur going to use a pinto box then tunnel and box mounts will need to be modified. basics for the engine are exshaust/electrics and fuel are all on the oppersite side to the x-flow. life is easier if you get a full set of ally parts for the engine ie sump, bellhousing, engine mounts and alternator bracket. this is a costly way to do it as these parts are dear to buy either new or second hand. if ur good with a welder you can modify the tin sump. the steel bellhousing will do fine tho heavy. and steel engine mounts with rubbers will set u back about £30 irc from rally design.
