  1. Excellent, thanks for the flexibility - sorted...
  2. Hi, latecomer, any chance of 2 stand passes and 2 tickets?
  3. My flywheel has big burn marks on it. Think it might be slippage? Do I need a heavier spring rated pressure plate? If so can anyone reccomend a good all round clutch disc and pressure plate for comfortable road driving, Santa Pod, powershifts, etc? It's a hot Pinto. Cheers E.
  4. Nice one, it's a nice car. I think CF look out for something unique, something a bit different from the usual and you've definitely got that there. Nice to see you've left it looking period too - 13" wheels, etc....
  5. Everyone has to do the Ring at least once in their life - ooer. No Really
  6. If it's a 2 door sell to me...
  7. I think these things also run in cycles, the scene was massive in the early-mid 80's and then died a death and many cars entered banger territory. Come the late nineties, early 2000 it exploded again to what we have today - irrespective the Ford scene continues to be one of the biggest and second or = only to the VW scene.
  8. Interesting, f-book is very easy to post pics but direct on a forum can be time consuming, be better if it were 1 click via My Pictures but I don't know how easy this would be.
  9. People come and go, they start young families and personal circumstances change but nostalgia never dies - I'm a petrol head and own a couple of marques but would always miss my Escort..............
  10. Yep deffo, and quality wheels in attendance for sure! Was very late arriving as coaching a youth team in the morn and came out without me wallet - many thanks Jo's son for lending me a score for return petrol - you can always tell a proper person, the one who'll lend you money in that circumstance - thanks Jo and son...
  11. Yep, all things equal will be there...
  12. Officially they're meant for recovery and not long-term towing use although how the Law is meant to prove the difference suspect could be difficult. I looked into it a while back and didn't come across any precedent or cases of prosecution...
  13. Puddy I'll have a cup of tea with you and we can talk all things Chelsea (football that is)
  14. All things equal I'm there...
  15. Blimey, they have some sauce, mkI Focus is probably the most boring RS ever made and let's the marque down imo... Anyhows, doubt the new Focus RS drivers are that bothered as mechanically their cars are very good - not my cup of tea but a turn-key track car if you want it nonetheless.
  16. Colin or Joe Ashton might be able to help you in this. Colin had a V6 in his Escort up until recently: http://www.ashton-mobile.co.uk/
  17. Pukka day and stand - good to catch up with regulars + some old Ford hands, Mark Maxwell, Frank Frostick, et al and meet some new, Vista and even Simon CF, first time chat with him despite being in old Ford scene for donkeys now (subs timescale and CF track time/drifting ). Talking of which, the old Ford drifting was "beast" (my sons words)

    Opie Oils

What are they like on the classic oil 20/50 front as my usual is Valvoline?
  22. Here he goes again...
  23. Hark, Cortina owners are too shy, only 1 or 2 take theirs on the strip nowadays let alone on track - precious indeed...
  24. I normally get there about 10 - probably the busiest time but don't like early morns
  25. So what did you decide in the end...?
