Found a set of compomotives that I fancy for my mk3 Capri - but can't seem to find out whether or not metric nuts are available to make this possible? I imagine this has been done before?

On the lookout for somewhere to work on the 'tina. I'm currently renting a lockup down in W - S - M but its becoming a headache due to the time and cost of going down there after work and back and having to stay late to really make the time worthwhile. The other half has beem cool about it even though she hates the place and at times we are like strangers passing so it would be great for the three of us (me, car, her) if I could find somewhere closer to home. I'm not on the scrounge as I'm a willing payer (within reason obviously) and will consider anything as long as its secure and has electric. Or, if anyone is renting somewhere and has room for a car and my tools/bits or even wants to club in for a unit let me know. Thanks for reading this

Wondering if this is a classic case of "lets have the newb over"..... Bought an atlas a couple of years ago. It's 50", and having looked at numerous tech articles for comparison, its a 3ltr capri one. EXCEPT it has 8" drums instead of 9". Put it on ebay and a helpful person suggested it could be a V4 atlas? My osf knowledge is limited and revolves around mk2 cortinas (STILL learning all the time) so if anyone can confirm that there was an atlas for a V4,if so from what, and was I had over? I even bought it from a fellow "enthusiast" so will be doubly pi$$ed off.

Were the ratio's in the T5 and the MT75 on the 4wd different? Even geekier, anyone know the ratios? Even geekier still, anyone messed with or know of any improvements that have been/could be made to improve the ratios?

Thirded - I have a narrow (50") Atlas and the arguments I have had with knowitalls over the whole baby atlas thing is unbelievable.

So the list of pat numbers are not enough on their own to do the conversion? Thinking of sacking off the xflow in my 'tina now for a 1.8t, my cousin wants the xflow for his anglia. Could be time to look for a donor! I already have an adapterplate setup to fit an MT75 to a 1.8t which is cable clutch but being as the 'tina has been butchered for a type 9 I was hoping to be lazy and keep the existing box and one piece prop. Decisions, decisions.

After getting caught out the other weekend with no breakdown cover a couple of weekends ago on my daily, I'm looking at online breakdown policies for my cortina. So......if you wouldnt mind, take a minute out and let us know who you use, who you have used in the past, companies to avoid (worded as to not leave anyone liable to being sued! ) and recommendations. Best quote I have found so far is £49 per year with ICBreakdown's silver policy. Any experience of this lot?

I'm not too up on later fords so I'm wondering if any of them were fitted with 16" steels on 4 stud hubs?

Nasty noises coming from the rear axle put me off the journey in the 'tina and a raging hangover put me off going at all. That said, I'm glad now having read some of the above posts! Retro Rides is a must

Have you got in touch with them? They can get ford 4 stud in some sizes, some bellend scooped some on ebay then tried to mug folks in the VW scene for a big mark up. Or there's always performance wheels, aussie website but there are british outlets, Peter Lloyd rallying seems to stock 7x13's in some abundance, among other online people via ebay. HTH

My favourite colour scheme I have a question - what car did the webasto/britax come from? It's a fair bit bigger than most I've seen cut into an OSF.

Feels cheeky as I dont know diddly about p'shops and have never had a sig on any forum but if anyone fancies having a mess about with this little lot and sorting me a "virtual car" type sig then I'd appreciate it A likeness although not the actual car....mine has lost its chrome. And the rims that I am having to buy one at a time (7x16's are £300 + each) She's also had her rear door handles shaved and is pre - tty low on with coilovers and soon to be decambered capri single leafs.
