Thanks for that. What with marshalling, I didn't get any time to look at anything due to spending most of the time either turning people away or trying to find empty spaces. Ditto. Great shots and thanks to Conner and the rest of the marshals who helped out on what was not an easy task. Cheers lads Lets hope that the new meet at Leeming lodge is as popular with all the osf boy's and girls

Seen as it is you Dave a coke is fine We lost Scotch Corner due to complaints from a few gym members. But hopefully now we have a private carpark this place will turn into a great replacement so scotch corners gone thats sad Really sad mate we had some great meets there But hopefully we will have some good times at Leeming as well

I have a new venue for a Classic Ford Meet. It will be at Leeming Lodge,The Lodge is situated just off the A1 at the Bedale/Northallerton A684 road junction. Follow the signs off the A1 for Leeming Bar Services & Motel. The first meet will be on Sunday May 16th starting at 2pm. It will be held in the rear car park that is normaly locked up. This car park is not open to the public it will only be for our cars. I have managed to get it free of charge, the only thing that the owner would like is for people to pop into the lodge[ not the macy dee's] for a coffee. This would also be a good way to meet and have a chat as well as looking at the cars. I hope to see some old faces there as well as some new.

me too I'd be there with 10 cars, I dont actually mind the new stuff, but its just too big. The the services was rammed too, they could have kicked off cos that place was getting pretty full. I've no idea if anyone cleared it that the extra cars were ok to go to the services, imagine if there had been a phone call from the services to the hotel saying "what you doing sending all these cars over here" and that could have been the end of it I am a fan of both, i attend meets with my brother in his RS Focus, but as you rightly say it has got to big for that venue. As for the services that was a last minute decision and as you say it could have been the end! thats why i suggested a bigger venue for the first meet of the year, then the rest at scotch corner Fair point mate, but as i said i did give it a lot of thought but rightly or wrongly i have made this call

Sorry you feel that way Dave, i did think of finding a different venue. But i decided to stick with Scotch Corner, as for the size of the meet yesterday was the final straw for me. Normally i really enjoy the meets as i get time to chat to a great group of friends that i have made through these meets plus take some photo's. Yesterday i never even had chance to eat my dinner never mind chat to many people. Plus it really hurt having to turn cars away, maybe i should have gone somewhere else but the hotel have been good to us for the last four years now.

That's where it gets tough1 but i think if they are having there own meet that it shouldn't be a problem. As Ant rightly say's it did start as a capri meet so i hope it is going back to its roots and still does well just been oldskool

As some of you will know yesterdays meet was massive. We reckon it topped 300 cars! After having given it great thought i have decided to make future meets for oldskool cars only. I know this will upset some people but i feel that we have enough of old and new to hold separate meets. After chatting to people and reading comments i have come to this decision. I hope all the oldskool cars will continue to support this great meet. There will be no meet next month but all been well the next will be in May.

Hope most of you enjoyed the meet, sorry for any problems people had. I will be taking a month out before setting the date for next meet. Things maybe a bit different next time.
