  1. Looks like a nice one, price is about right for a standard car in that condition I recon.Modified cars are generally worth more. They are fun to drive with the sidevalve but really are on the slow side if you need to keep up with modern traffic or go on dual carriage ways. If it's just for some fun on a sunny Sunday though go for it,before they all get pinto's shoved in em
  2. bung some o this in the x7, i run all my bikes on it, even 4strokes! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Castrol-R40-Racin ... 286.c0.m14 Mmmmmm Castrol R.
  3. Cheers mate. Those Swarbricks sound bloody fantastic.A bit sad I know but I've recorded it and it's my mobile ringtone Have you tried getting in touch with swarbrick? They do allsorts now, might even make you up a set.Would sound the muts on the triple
  4. Love the kettle mate and the RD.Had a few of those in my time My current '79 X7 Mild tune,Swarbrick pipes, rearsets ace bars.Yes I am stuck in my teens

  6. Like most our firm is OK at the mo. As we have work that has been booked in for ages but new work is very patchy so I think it will start to hit end of the Year Big family firm in our town that's been building in the area for 150 Years has just shut up shop So things can't be too good.
  7. '73 will be an HC they started from '71. I'm not totally sure but I think the S was just a limited edition Viva with a few sporty extra's.Probably interior and stickers. Don't quote me but I'm sure that's what I remember from my Viva day's. I still know a few people who are into their Viva's so if you do need to shift it give me a shout.I may be able to find a home for it.But as already stated the sad thing is if it's in need of work it's probably virtually worthless You can still buy a really nice 2 door for less than grand if you look about
  8. Gotta love the Firenza. So cool and still a fraction of Escort prices. Here's a pic of my last one.Only had a little 1159 under the bonnet but cool all the same
  9. I have a real soft spot for Viva's.Had loads over the Years. The good ones are starting to pick up a bit in value now but unless it's in decent nick they are not worth much at all Loads of fun with a 2.3 slant four up front and I've seen a few with pintos in. Loads of room to stuff a V8 in too of course

  18. 351 cu/in small block V8. 250 bhp and 350lb/ft torque. Ford's figures so may be a little optimistic

  22. As far as I know my car is the only one of it's kind in the UK too. I know for a fact though if I found another one I'd buy it in a flash if I had the money. As all panels etc are unique,so I'd defo say get it bought
  23. I have done in the past but not with the Fairlane.15 mpg sort of rules it out Never found it a problem though,as long as you keep on top of things
