  1. my last day before going back to work tomorrow, is the enfield pageant worth a trip? not far for me to go, cheap to get in but has anyone been before? anyone going this year? cheers
  2. like that one
  3. not yet happened to me , but imagine this... you find the old ford of your dreams, hidden in a barn/garage/lock-up or tesco car-park, the elderly owner is prepared to sell, and does on of two things. either... a, he says "i know how much these things are worth, don't you go trying to con me..." but then mentions £300 for an immaculate low mileage capri or escort. or... b, he says "promise me you'll take good care of the old girl, i'd hate to see her all done up like a boy racers car" in the first example, could you sleep at night, knowing you got the car for a tenth of its value? in the second, how are you going to explain what you've done to "his" car in six months time, when he sees it with its shiny new paint/cage/wheels/YB turbo!? just a thought
  4. start with one, but route the exhaust with enough space/straight section to cut a bit out and add a second box or resonator/cherry bomb thing if it needs it?
  5. think i've read somewhere escort english is same width...
  6. just a quick q to bump this... think i've seen one that used the existing anti-tramp style location for the axle along with another set of anti-tramps to make a 4-link, does that sound right? some i've seen have proper 4link boxes welded in, but this way looked easier...
  7. ...and what about the fuel tank!!!
  8. anyone done this conversion? or seen one up close? just wondering how the axle was located, which struts used on the front, does it need a tunnel welding in, basically tell me everthing you can lol any photos of the underside? thanking you in advance
  9. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nqqZ28m8uCo
  10. i think the centre of those is the old RFX (don't tell revolution!) image will do them with hidden bolts, i think that's a good idea, as the bolts seem to make a wheel look smaller than they really are black, BTW
  11. definitely No1 (although i'm a bit p#ssed off as i wanted to do them first!) a mate has an alfa, red with white wheels. looks fantastic, but a pain to keep clean. i reckon i'd be going for a grey centre/polished rim should look fantastic whichever way you go!
  12. very, very nice. and the blue one, also seen in a mag any capris? or any links to aussie sites? i've heard they do this sort of thing? thanks for the pics!
  13. any others? really like that 'tina, any capris? or mk3 'tina ESTATES?
  14. does anyone have any pics of uk old skool fords done in an overhauling/wrecks to riches usa style? you know, fairly low, big wheels, stripes? preferably mk3 capri or mk3 cortina? there was a green cortina in CF a while ago...
