dont get started on good shells getting scrapped. i got rid off two 2dr mk 2's a few years ago for pea nuts. . . one had never been welded once carried a mk 1 mex shell down my mates drive with 3 friends, loaded on a trailor and filled with crap all bound for the scrapy. . just needed front floor pans. . . had mint wings and sills. . ah life was easy before the classic ford price boom . . not a care in the world for what we were doing

done it loads, sell a car and get rid of spares, break a car for what you want and ditch the rest. . . wish i had it all back now i'm on a frantic mission to sort the wagon for classic ford and dont have the time to source stuff without paying through the nose for it. . struggled to find a type 9 today after having 3 a few months ago

i had the same sort of crap today, on the way home from work early to get in some work on the escort and some total plonker in a jelly mould starts playing up. ended up both cars nearly getting writen off and very almost fisty cuffs in the middle of a busy town centre road. . . got the pinto all bolted up in the wagon tho

hope it goes in well mate. started my pinto swap on tuesday. all goin well with no hurdles to over come. welding gearbox cross member mounts is harsh laying under the car. . . i got burnt to shit. feels real good to see a pinto sat in the hole now though . dont forget a longer throttle cable, my cross flow one will never reach. good luck

mostly always had old skool daily drivers but when ive had late stuff as temp transport i get so bored. i hate blending in with the rest of the traffic. my escorts my only car at the mo and i do about 200 miles a week and every osf i see gives it a , makes it all worth it. . . i wouldn't have it any other way.

other than escorts mk 1 n 2 it would have to be a mk 1 granny 2 door saloon . . well rare in uk but about if you hunt hard. . it would have to be black and fitted with a LT-1 twin turbo V8. slammed hard on 16" cragar s/s rims and super low pros. no body mods at all just clean and tidy. other than that maybe a polley style anglebox but rather than retro xflow and 3 link,.. a full on late hot rod space frame and running gear. . . what the hell just polleys anglia as is will do. . . cool as fook .
