  1. looks like a good buy there m8, you can never have to many osf's
  2. found this while looking at some ghost town photos. its amazing what people will leave laying about in the desert . i still thinks its doable, now thats a real rat look! i'd have to leave the bullet holes in the door too its in a town called vulture in arizona.
  3. i'm running a dgv on my 2.0 pinto and can get 35 mpg on the motorway and about 25 round town, drive to work etc. but this is mixed driving. . bit of steady, bit of foot down
  4. sweet pics, i nearly went to this but ended up getting busy in the garage. i'm intreaged to find out more on that mk 3 tina running grannada steels?
  5. looks sweet mate, good luck getting it all sorted. looks like a good base
  6. wow that flaked, tunnel rammed model A sedan is fooking stunning!
  7. your sort it bud, this is just those final tweek bits that are always needed on a new engine. i'd try and get it on a rolling road mate just to get it set up incase its under or over fueling a large amount. ive known people seize engines solid after them over fueling and running the bores dry. the high idel could be down to preasure, you tryed pinching the pipe a touch once its idleing high, bit bodge but hey it could work to test the theory .
  8. glad its running mark. ive had problems with over fueling lately. did cause increased idle and black smoke (to rich) . also missed for a min too but would clear once i booted it. mine was just needing a set up but to start with we put it down to fuel preasure. not really shaw this helps as i'm not on bike carbs but general fueling problems will be the same no mater what set up ya running. gas analizer or old skool colour tune might help.
  9. thats cool mate, looks well clean. another in the wagon crew
  10. ive been told storys of these magic (chicken)sheds, really ment to be a sight to behold.

  14. dan, my brother has just got himself a nice four door mk 2 escort. other than a few small bits of welding it needs rear arches. ive had a quick look about but can only seam to find 2 door arches, anyone got a idea where we can get em? want to get it sorted asap to get it to a few shows before the end of summer. . cheers

  17. good man , if ya really interested check out the links. or search (national hot rods, brisca salloon stocks, f1 & f2 stock cars, classic hot rods, thora historic stock cars,2 litre hot rods, 1300 stock cars. . . ) hope you find it interesting
  18. that'll be cool mate, just need to pull my finger out and get a few more bits sorted on car. dan should have his mk2 escort sorted by then too
  19. mk1 escort 2 doors and mk1 cortinas arnt getting bangered, there hot rods and stock cars. bangers last one meeting if ya lucky , stock cars and hot rods will last years. price is kind of reflective of this being real motor sport not just bangers in a field ( sorry national banger boys i know ya cars are beasts) . some hot rods will cost 30 to 40k plus a seasons touring round europe. check out www.shortcircuitmag.com and get enlightend.
  20. wow this thread really gets some blood boiling, ive made my comments and said what this sport means to me but i'd just like to let the haters understand its not just the bash and crash of banger racing, there are many formulas that are true race cars in every sence. stock cars for one. the work that goes into set up is trully a art in its self. as for short circuit hot rods, there's nothing that will go round a 1/4 mile oval faster. . BARRING NONE! . its still old skool to the bone, no turbos, injections etc. . rwd is the best and the wheels are 13"'s. oh and in lots of cases the mighty PINTO is still king! LOVE THE OVAL 1/4 MILE, HUG A FENCE POST of coarse this is just imho.
  21. me and my bro will be up for this
