  1. I was paying over 1000 third party fire and theft on my heavily modified escort MK1 (all mods declared) with flux when I was 21. They were the only company that would insure me as well. My Harrier was about £350 with them last year though which I thought was good but its pretty much standard. Ive heard even though their website says they dont insure under 25s (or similar) my friend has been with them since he was a teenager on his Mk1 escort and they were pretty good.
  2. Im sure I saw them advertised one of the trimming places or possibly rally design for a new set for about £90 + VAT. Magazine I saw it in is at work though so cant check.
  3. My 1600 crossflow breathes heavy amd smokes a bit as well, in fact all of the crossflow escies I've had did. Ive never worried too much unless they started banging and rattling as well. They are pretty bullitproof motors even when theyve been played with so I wouldn't worry too much. On another note if its the car in your sig I nearly started selling body parts when it came on ebay, proper lush!
  4. I think cars have to be over 10 years old to be eligable.
  5. Always the way, im sure country bumpkin wont be pleased to be reminded of the time I stacked an old Mk2 Escort into a hedge (complete with new F-O-R-D grill and quarter bumpers) 2 weeks after we had spent a weekend bashing out the results of crashing through another hedge previosly It will all be fixed in no time though im sure
  6. Cant wait to see what youve got
  7. Sorry bud, just seen this thread, yeah youl have to put some pictures up! Glad to here its been given a new lease of life
  8. Didn't some come with rectangle lights? And we never learn not to mess with old fords, thats why we are all here
  9. lol thats very low I like that! I agree with Mr Sam though about leaving that in a field, smaller festivals tend to be ok but I remember returning to my car after leeds festival a few years back and walking past no less than 6 cars that had all been severely bashed while parked. Just dont park at the bottom of a slope when its been raining.
  10. I flipping love that car, you are clearly a man of very good taste Will miss seeing it about at the local events tho
  11. You can do this by getting a form from a post office (application for log book) im fairly sure. When you send it off they will contact the last registered keeper and if they recieve no reply with a few weeks they will issue you a log book. I did this to register an Escort countrybumkin gave me that had been registered as scrapped and got the log book through after 6 weeks. Costs about £25 to apply but could be well worth it.
  12. cant you just jam it in gear to stall it?
  13. Try it with a square front plate
  14. Ive been razzing this round for a few months now
