  1. When will it be appearing??? Also any chance of the pics from it please chap??
  2. looks like it gonna be a tough job beating 92/100? absobloodylutely great article chaps, lost count of how many times i nearly crashed the truck trying to read it!!!
  3. mine is from Carlisle!!
  4. can't wait for it to hit the shelves (6th Dec by all accounts) as our club meeting is in the next one, hope its gonna be worth the wait!?
  5. Our club will come!!
  6. bless him, can't fault him tho, a 12 year old with an appreciation of old skool!! got to remember when he was born it was only 95 and we were at M/N reg motors, good to see he is well trained. I remember hearing about 2 lads that were at a show and was walking past a Mk2 RS2000 with a Sapphy Cozzy next to it and one pointed at the Cozzy and said to his mate "now thats proper old skool". He wouldn't of had a clue what the RS2k was as it was before he was even born!! So to Ford-boy.......
  7. have been told of a bloke in Norwich that filled his Mk4 Cortina with £20 of diesel so just drove round the ring road until he needed to fill it up again then just filled it to the brim with petrol. Bet it made a lovely white fog following him around.
  8. its a bit of a minefield, what you need is a minimum of 3rd party road risks, you can put limits on it like max value of cars drivin etc, mine when i was valeting was £350 a year but i had to be covered to a maximum value of £100k as i was dealing with new jags and porsches, it also included 2.5 million public liabilty insurance. best bet is to shop around mate, sorry i can't help more but good luck.
  9. if you cant put the posts in, a mate fabricated a bar that goes across the doors and sits in brackets on the frame (bolted right through) and held either end with fook off great padlocks. may be easier than trying to dig holes to set post housings into. Sorry to hear the bad news to start with, last person my mate caught "having a look" had to learn to write again once the (ahem) bruising had gone down. (ok 4 broken fingers)
  10. i'm still waiting for my 2 back copies that was promised when our club meeting was attended.
  11. one comment has worked for them tho, albeit a bad comment but what has it achieved? us talking about their magazine!! if someone demanded an apology and they agree, what will happen? more people will buy the mag to see if an apology is published, thus pushing up their sales figures. Crafty sales strategy!!
  12. i don't really keep track, i put petrol in, thrash it around, needles points to red so put more petrol in!! Only problem is it seems to point to red quite a lot but hey, why worry about it, i do enough to keep the carbon footprint down so my car is my way of sticking 2 fingers up at "the Greens".
  13. 410? sounds like its a DAF then?
  14. did think about that but i'm away in the truck all week, although i'm off tail end of this week, have to sweet talk the missus as i've promised her my undivided attention. lol
  15. may have to phone them as they are only 15 mins down the road and see if they would keep any records etc.
