  1. I have got some picks of it wih the wheels up but I can't down load them yet I hop this gives you an idea
  2. Here's a little on our weekend. I decided to make the most of the track time we had at the big bang. We arrived at 3am Friday morning and got our heads down outside the main gates. (Which muppet left there alarm set for 6) We were in setup and ready to play by 11. We had the company of team member, good friend and neighbour Russ Walker running his VW scirroco in VW sportsman. First pass a gentle 11.0 no gas but a complete gearbox. Turned the gas on as this was a rwyb track I turned everything down but as the nitrous was coming up to full power (300 jets) we lost all power so I shut everything off and cruised back. Next run same again. But this time I watched the max and it was shutting the system down due to only getting 6 volts. (Safety feature) Checked everything only found a loose batt term on the alternator.( fitted a new one)still the same. So I bypassed the extreme and blew a fuse. Now we’re getting somewhere. fuse changed and a new relay fitted off we go. But after speaking to Trev we turned down to 80% It worked. Next step a full pass. 20% on the hit with 3.5 build time both wheels off the ground but as it came down it unloaded the rear wheels big tyre shake(3 chipped teeth)a couple of big peddles 9.7 @ 149 well happy. Backed up with 9.66 @ 146 now we have another problem how to stop the rear unloading. We'd now run out of time we drew Steve Pateman. When I got into stage a bit to deep and activated the trans break the car rocked and broke the beams. (ARSE) but still ran a 9.8 @ 146. The car never missed a beat all weekend I hope my passenger on the cruise Mark Skinner enjoyed himself, going by all the picks I think he did. Now for you number crunchers out there. Car weighs 3285lb We ran 149 mph We used 1020 bhp @ 963 lb TQ to do it We crossed the line @ 5565 RPM That’s a gain of 250bhp with 1 second delay and a build time of 3 seconds. Pistons were travelling at 4173 feet/min
  3. What a weekend for me and the other insane boys. we started the weekend on a high with the reception the car got. soon to be overshadowed by the obvious damage that the gearbox had suffered. After pulling the box from the car we found that the high gear clutch drum(second gear) was eating the pump. the prop was now to long. So a quick trip back to the workshop over 300 mile round trip and som 8 hours the gear box was back in the car. 8am and the sound off an angle grinder and club hammers soon attracts a crowd. We had to shorten the prop as well. With no time to test we were out on another qualifier and ran a 10.8second without nitrous and a very soft launch, And a complete gearbox. The cruise went without a hitch. Eliminations. We were up against the cotina of Moose. I put a bit more nitrous in the car than we had previously run and took a little more timing out which resulted in a cough on the line giving the win to moose. When I restarted the car Ian on the startline said to go. I got to about 60ft then activated the nitrous and end with 148mph. But all was not good as something let go in the transmission and the motor lost fire so coated to a stop being made to stop by the fire marshal. After checking it tonight we found the coil wire off and the oil cooler line broken as it bolts to the block. Thank god for that. When I weighed the bottle we had used a little over 1lb of nitrous. So with 500 jets in a build time of 3 seconds we must of lost fire not long after the max extreme started its programme. A big thank you to my crew how worked all night and missed out on their beer time. I must also say a big thank you to Brain of FB racing for welding up my prop.
  4. Where do you all go for you Valuations I had my last one done by the NSRA.

  6. I hope you like my new site http://www.insanecreations.net/news.html
  7. Thanks for that. I'm looking for mid 8's next season. I'm reworking the 4 link to aid with the launch and stop blowing the tyres
  8. Thank Kieran
  9. Ok Here's a little info from our PB's at the eurofinals. The best we ran was 9.08 seconds @ 153 Mph. We used 400 jets When we did our Dyno session we ended up with a best of 770 bhp N/A We ran our nitrous through the Max Extreme,We also take all the timing out of the car when the Extreme is armed. The engine was retarded by 8 deg for the nitrous and a further 4 deg (which was ramped back in over 2 seconds) was taken out of the engine to try to calm it down on the launch. The Extreme was set so no nitrous for 0.5 second the 20% hit with the rest coming in over 2.5 seconds. Going back over the data it showed we used 1062 BHP and 975lb of torque which gave us just under 300bhp increase and over 300 lb of torque on our dyno figures. We are more than impressed with the figures that we've got back specially when you think that we spun the tyres to badly of the hit and again when the nitrous came in.I'm sure that's what cost us the 8 second. We found our traction problem, the 4 link is to high. So while I'm sorting this out I'm doing the work needed to take the car to the next tag bracket of 7.5sec. Here's to 2 cars running Trev's kits getting down that way. I'm not saying we will but I think we can get into the low 8's. We'll have to see what Santa sends me down from Trev's (Wizard of Nos) in the festive season.
  10. good on you we did 9 runs on sunday all with passengers with the fastest being 9.90 @141mph and we raised £575.we had to pull out of the last 2 due to my gearbox overheating and damaging the clutches so we could have pushed over £700

  19. As I know some of you are aware we are holding our passenger runs at the classic ford show in june again. Well what can I say about the responce.Due to changes in the law weve had to raise our expences seperatly from our donations. We estimate that it will cost us £500 in fuel and nitrous so we put out an add with eurodragsterto help us raise some of it.What we got was a call from Matt Wright from GleesonWright security offering to pay all of it.We,ve also recieved a call from fellow racer and bloody nice guy Ray Comer with another donation.so we are going to put all the expences together and add the balence to our running total. Passenger runs Weve so far got rid of 4 for the Sunday with a couple to go and as yet we've still got all of saturday's to go but I think that will chage at the weekend as we are at Santapod and Saturdays runs are for Santapods staff on a first come first served. The Weekend we have secured film coverage from Power Point Communications we are also hopeful of having a reporter with us from Classic Ford Magazine. So far we have pledges of £425 after our expences so as you can see I'm blown away thank you all ron
