yes it was sold as a runner, but to be fair I got it for peanuts and the guy chucked in a brand new ashley exhaust and manifold so not overly hacked off about it Yep the 1.6 back in but was thinking of switching the heads over as the 1.6 is knackered

Well twas a nice sunny day yesterday so I decided I would replace the 1.6 with a 2ltr pinto bought on fleabay a few weeks ago. Old engine out, new engine in all done in around 5 hours, not bad for my first major mechanical adventure. Anyway all connected up, water in the rad, oil in and time for the moment of truth. click, click click bugger engine wouldn't even start to turn over, tried rocking back and forth in gear to free it up - no joy the engine is set solid Bit of a dumb mistake not checking that the engine even turned before attempting to fit but ho hum I'm rather proud of all the cuts and bruises I acquired during the process

I had a 3 up 1.0 corsa try to beat from the lights about 2 weeks ago, sat at red to my left, revving away and furtive glances at me, lights went to green, he set off with the smallest wheel spin ever and he was away. he must have thought ahh I have 1000cc and so does he, unfortunately for him, mine is bolted to a fireblade Last I saw of him was a tiny spec fading in my mirrors

I'm convinced I have RAC cover so not too worried about getting home. And as has been said if it does all go pete tong I'll get a free diagnosis Cheers Lee

Hi I have just bought a mk3 capri on ebay and need to get it from Doncaster to Hertfordshire this saturday. Although taxed & recently MOT'd I'm a bit wary of driving it home so thought I would trailer it. simple just need a trailer now! Does anyone have any recommendations for trailer hire in the herts area? Cheers Lee

Morning all After a visit to the pod at the weekend I have been inspired! I am pretty new to all this and although I have a mk1 escort at the moment that is "In progress" it will never be used for anything more wild than blatting round the country lanes. I want more! I am looking at buying another RWD OSF purely for fun but my question is, although the car I want to build will be road legal and will be used on the roads, where can I go and or what sports/events can I go to that will allow me to rag the car around and get some sideways action. Another consideration I have is my son is 5 years old and mad on old fords, he had his first rally experience at the pod on sunday and hasn't stopped talking about it since, so ideally I'd like to get in to something that allows him to sit in. Anyone have any recommendations Cheers Lee
