That's primarily down to the fact that was exactly what I set out to do. A retro interpretation rather than a modern design with a Capri badge.
A clean sheet interpretation would create an all new design with a few little capri signatures, but otherwise follow modern design language - more pronounced creases/Sweeps which were not possible previously, cab forward, high sides, bonnet & boot, complex jewelry (light units etc.), crash/safety regulations, hatch, FWD etc.
They are two distinct cars: Either a retro take (Think Mini, Mustang, S-Type) or an all new design (Think Jaguar XF).
I just don't have enough hours in the day to try and create an all new design. It is "quite tricky".
