  6. Great to see someone do something different
  7. Nice one m8 They are still about... I know of a 1 owner from new, low mileage Mk3 Capri thats up the road from me sitting on the driveway of a big house in a cul de sac. The old boy came into my work and saw mine and said he has a Capri too. Said he would sell it, so popped round to take a look, my boss offered a fair price and would have given it a FULL resto, but now he cant part with it - great original condition too - shame
  8. Thats one damn quick car!!!
  9. Cheers everyone Having previously owned a supercharged v6 anglia himself, I think he rather liked it - something basic and a bit different. He spent a while tweaking here and there with mixtures, timing etc. to get the new, rather odd twin carbs set up to achieve an overall balance - ticking over was an issue thats now resolved We were both pleasantly surprised at the improvement, like he said this engine is never going to run smoothly, but it was gasping for air, so the addition of a 2nd carb has helped. It sounded awesome and revs well - didnt break either Of course there followed a discussion about triple webbers - curious as to what difference/improvement this would make??? I am more than happy with the results for now, (no elec ignition/fuel pump) and I have to say, on the run out to Princess Royal in Farnham last night it ran much better - slightly more responsive, no smoke when flooring it (not from the engine anyways ) not running on anymore and ticking over well - well worth the money!!! Looking forward to some time at the pod/shakey now
