  1. Yes you'll need to clear out a little for the conrods. The 84mm crank is a no-no in an L block - I did it but would seriously advise against it. It hits the water and the oil and takes a life times patience to fix. I think there is more height in the bottom of a later CF block so there's not the same constraints. I think 84mm is about enough stroke though, and a steel cam is adviseable as it needs reducing in 4 places. What about in an AX block? will this still be getting close to the cam and the water ways?
  2. Will big stroke steel cranks still require the block to be machined?
  3. Google is a genius isn't he
  4. I think its from an 1800 diesel, not sure whether its turbo or not. i believe you can still use the crossflow rods. The fiesta diesel crank is 82mm stroke and only needs some fairly simple machining to get in.
  5. Fiesta diesel crank, not sure what exact engine though. becoming quite a common mod for big cc xflows
  6. mondeo
  7. Personally if he's claiming 140bhp, I'd want to see some proof of that, because thats a pretty tasty crossflow if its true. Still worth the 500 whether its that or not though to be honest.
  8. Think I've got a mex boot badge somewhere, I'll dig it out for you if you like? I'll, take a pic, not sure on the condition.
  9. It's trialings fault im into them haha. It's got a lot to answer for!!! I've got a load more video kicking around somewhere, ill upload some more on youtube.
  10. It does look just like clive's yes, as everyone keeps saying Its only my first season this year competing, only done a couple of events, but have been around the sport for many a year.
  11. I'm from stroud, compete in a white mk1 escort estate.
  12. Yeah, Hoskins on the Bodmin a few years ago, and Bluehills 1 from this years Lands End.
  13. Some I videoed a while ago for anyone thats interested.
  14. I've got some other mk2 springs though and they are much softer and with a lot more curve in than these.
  15. I've got a pair of mk2 leaf springs sat at home and was wondering if anyone could identify them as i'm not sure what model they are off. They are a lot flatter than normal leafs and also a lot stiffer? I took a pic but not sure it'll help the identification. So, anyone know what they are? and are they worth anything? Thanks in advance
