  1. Fantastic!! Well done to John and Sean and Auberone and everyone else. I will post some piccies on our site in the next couple of days. We drove back in the worst driving conditions I have encountered in 30 years driving.
  2. Dan...I think we are going that way anyway so we should see you at Saltash but 55/60 really is top speed on an engine that has only just run-in...Can you cope with that?
  3. Wait for me!!!! The Greenmonster must have some sort of hill-climb/sprint diff in it (how do I tell what diff it has?) Coz at 5000 rpm it is doing 65 mph in top.....But by Hendrix it gets there quick!! WHAT DO WE DO IF THE WEATHER IS REALLY PANTS? I ain't travelling all the way to Exeter if no-one is gonna be there. Is there a last -minute cancellation posting? Yes...I am a fair weather driver/angler/footballer.....But I am elderly don't forget.
  4. Look!!, I said I would be there but no-one has added me to the list. I am very hurt and upset....I was only joking about the rehab thing.....and the Stingray thing........honestly.
  5. We will be there in either the Greenmonster or.......Wait for it......STINGRAY!! - Whilst watching the Thunderbirds/puppet show thing on the telly over Chrimbo, I realised that Stingray is just an oceon going 105e - Just as Thunderbird 4 is an Escort (Mk2) Van. So the next project will be a blue and yellow and silver Anglebox with a few body-mods. Despite what you may think,I have finished re-hab. Happy New year to you all Alan www.liskeardclassiccars.co.uk
  6. How about 19th of Jan? say 10.30 to 12.30...Very informal, just meet at the unit and if I have an idea of numbers I will at least get some coffee and biccies organised. Vista..Had lots of experience on Alfas and presume that whatever you have SPICA-wise won't be too different. What is the problem and with what car/set up?
  7. Hello All! Hope you had a good Chrimbo. I was hoping that the Anglia would be ready before now but I am hoping for the second week of the new year. It would be great to see you all again and feell that the spring is too long to wait. We could always have a "mini-meet" at our place in Liskeard; www.liskeardclassiccars.co.uk On a Sunday there is no-one around, parking for up to 25 cars and The Stagg Inn is just round the corner and does excellent chinese food.......It's just an idea.
  8. I can't believe I missed this! The Anglia is almost ready although we keep getting delayed getting it back to the spray-shop. I have been posting pics (via MrSam) and some new ones on our website www.liskeardclassiccars.co.uk I am hoping for a "debut" the week before Xmas.............But where?
  9. Thanks LB....You lot have definitely mastered this web thingy....Mr Sam beet you by 3 clear minutes on the Anglia page!! If I am ever up in Cambs I will pop in for a pint (6X by any chance?)
  10. ...Are on the website now (liskeardclassiccars.co.uk) coz I just can't get them to load here directly! We have everything fitted to the car now and need to get it MOT'd next week and back on the road. DVLC say it hasn't been taxed since 1997! It should be ready for my trip to see Mummy in London for Xmas.
  11. I will be there with "The Redhead" and Joe90 (Josh.....Don't tell him I called him Joe90.....You will see what I mean) But the Anglia is nowhere near ready. Waiting for a custom exhaust and spray-shop to be clear of damn Combos and Kangos and a 78 RR Shadow oh and a BSA A65 US spec. Lighning......We are very catholic in our tastes here. Sorry....wittering on....We will be in the Audi A6 smoker that acts as taxi, breakdown and delivery truck and football coach. And it has a Leyton Orient sticker in the back. We are top of the league etc etc.
  12. I very much doubt if the Anglebox will be ready by then but I will come along to meet you all. Our garage is only in Liskeard (Liskeard Classic Cars......and presently 1 Triumph Bonnie and a BSA A65 - Can't be choosey when youv'e only been running 4 months!) So it won't take long. Besides I have just spent a fortune having new business cards printed and they can't all be used as 'roach material. Big discounts for OLDSKOOLers etc etc etc.
  13. Blimey ....that was quick! Looking forward to spending (wasting) many hours on here asking stupid questions and perhaps even meeting a few fellow "South-Westerners".
  14. About to purchase a Anglebox for the first time in 25 years. Sick to death of MGB's etc. (See - liskeardclassiccars. co.uk - For that is me!!) and can see a business future in the whole "OldSkool" genre. Anyone that wants to get stuff/welding/fabrication/tuning done and can prove membership here will get such huge discounts on work that I will probably end up paying you...... well very cheap anyway.
