  6. Cheers Billy, it was great fun giving ordinary people an insight into what it's like in an Old skool Ford driven on the limit.
  7. Did my bit for charity today and gave passenger rides in my Mk2 Escort BDH at a Hillclimb in exchange for a donation to a charity. Did 7 runs and raised £660.00. Here is some footage. Face is priceless.
  8. I got fed up replacing broken Tran x bits, 16t 2 piece shafts twisting then snapping as clean as a whistle, side gears and planet gears smashing to bits with 178bhp and 100ft/lb torque. As Wayne says they shouldn't break. I now use Brand Engineering shafts (took over from Bob Dayson when he passed away) and I use Gripper diffs. So far so good and the guys are really helpful.
  9. Looked like awesome fun!!!
  10. Get a couple of onions, slice then in half and put them in the car, that will get rid of the paint fumes,it neutralises the chemicals in the paint.
  11. Here is some footage from the 9th May Jersey Hillclimb including some really great cars, some quick Anglias including a BRG 1860cc injected pre Crossflow, some quick Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts including a 420R Hart powered Mk1 rally car (52),a beautiful JRE twincam Lotus Mk1 in Alan Mann livery, Stevie Leonards rapid 2.4 315bhp Mk2 rally car(73) and yours truly in my 1300cc BDH powered Mk2 (No26). Enjoy.
  12. Ah the un-mistakeable sound of a BD on slide throttle
  13. Well I thought it was high time I took my little 1300cc Escort away to try some different events so I loaded it up with my tools, wheels etc a took a drive over to Jersey for their May 9th Hillclimb. Good day was had by all and I managed to lower the course record for Mod saloons up to 1400cc by 2.13 secs. (I managed to go 3/4 sec under the previous record on my first ever run up the Hill ) Heres the vid. http://www.youtube.com/user/groupbhero# ... YRhzq6qYYA
  14. Cheers Sambo, the little 1300 goes from strength to strength eh mate. Managed to break the class record again at our first 1/4 mile sprint meeting 14.06@95 with a .25sec+ headwind. She was howling. Yours mapped yet?
