went for a cruise with other RSOC members to Melbourne last weekend. The RS2 was struggling up hills so I checked the timing and found it was out by 4°! timed it up and had not a prob in all 1500kms of travel.
Yup it brings a smile to my face when I drive the RS!
I have revived the 80's fun with my louvre on my RS2 the last couple of years. With the 7x13" hotwire alloys, lowered and I still have the standard radio.
I travel about 500kms a year now, so when I pull up for my yearly check the bloke checks the brakes, lights and a walk around the RS! Nice bloke too.. He likes the older cars and to hear him take it for the brake test, he treats it well. I dont hear the car from the outside that often and it sounds so sweet!
GT Legends, not CT Legends has MK1 Escorts and Capris(both RS2600 and RS3100)
Rally Trophy has MK1 Escorts, MK2 Rothmans Escort as an addon, GT and Factory Cortina.
CMR2 has a MK1 Escort.
A mate just sold his 234bhp Mk2 Escort. It had a Pinto with a Cossy crank, 45 DCOE Webers, own designed electronic ignition and had run it on methanol. A very quick Mk2! All self built too..
cop it all the time as well. From the old man, who should know better! Water off a duck's back! I reckon they are jealous 'cause I have a better car! And faster too!
ok, after I told the blokes at the tyre fitters NOT to use a rattle gun on my alloys they proceeded to use the bloody thing! I told them then & there to get my car off the rig, I will not be back and haven't since!
Bastards!
