Quick update on the MOT, passed first time with no problems last month Have done about 400 miles so far and has not missed a beat, happy days except for no end of people asking me if I want to get rid of it, usually when filling up. A chap stopped me the other day in his Lexus by flashing his lights and sounding his horn, thought my brake lights were u/s, wound down my window, and you guessed it, 'Is it for sale mate'. Mmmmmm, Might be an idea to slightly modify my South African 1.3L Yellow 4 door into a 1300 Sport I have the sport cluster and would only need the stripes if I could find some. All, Did any MK2 Escorts come with FM radios? I am looking for one for my standard 1.3L If they didn't, will one fit from any other period ford from the mid to late 70s? Thanks, Shaun

Hi all, quick question, can someone help My 79 Mk2 Escort 1.3L needs a new set of points but im not sure which one it is. The dissy cap is brick colour and my local garage has had a look and said they are AUTOLIGHT. Does that mean they are Ford/Motorcraft 5116? Anyone out there know? Many thanks, Shaun
