  1. Hi all, i've found some single leaf springs in my fathers loft, he cant remember what they came off. He didnt even know they were there just wondering if any of you guys can tell me what they are off and where i can get polybushes for them? The rear spring hanger side has a hole for a bush of 27mm diameter while the front has a hole of 37 mm diameter, can polybushes be got for these? Are they capri 2.8i ones at all? il go get the pics of my fone to show you all cheers Edit: here's the pictures the last two are of the smalest end compaired to the springs that are origionally off the car

  4. Dad caled me before to let me know that my replacment sills for my capri have arrived, problem is i am over 100 miles away from the car at uni and i wont get down to work on it for another week and 2 days! Its upsetting, right now i could be tucked away in my garage with the welder keeping me warm but instead i am in my study room doing coursework....dang uni lol but then again i do finish uni for 6 weeks next friday meaning the Capri will be back on the road and coming to a meet near you soon Anyone else got an old ford their dying to work on but cant?

  9. Cheers guys, seeing that picture of the mk3 with mk2 headlights really makes me want to do it. Can anyone see any major problems, am guessin the frame of the bonnet would foul the light? Cutting a section out might help? I've got an old rusty mk3 bonnet so i could fit them up on mk scrap mk3 to see if i can get them to fit, saves chopping the good bonnet and making a mistake.
  10. Hi everyone, Am just a newbie on here, just put a post in the newbie section too. Does anyone have any pictures of a Capri that has Mk3 wings, bonnet and front panel but Mk2 lights and front bumper? See am going to be putting my Mk2 capri back on the road over christmas (the story is in the newbie post...it involves a sheep) but with being a student money is pretty tight so i cant get new mk2 panels. but i have 2 front wings bonnet and front panel off a Mk3. Just thinking if i can miss match untill i can get Mk2 panels? Cheers
  11. Hi everyone, my names Grant good to meets you all Am 19 and currently at Heriot watt university in Edinburgh studying Automotive Engineering. The car i drive, well used to but il get to that in a min, is a Mk 2 Capri running a 2.0l pinto, high torque cam and a fettled head, a black Ghia interior, 15x8 minilite wheels and lowered by an inch all round. I say i used to drive it because about maybe 5 month ago, i swerved to avoid a sheep and ended up putting it through a hedge so the front end was fairly mashed up and with me being at uni i have had no time to fix her. The christmas holidays are in a few weeks so am planning to have her finished and back on the road by mid january cant wait
