  1. Evening all, just researching some stuff on suspension. I've got 2.8 Bilstein front legs on my capri, but i fancie upgrading them, so i've been looking at getting either some 260/60 or 300/70 inserts, now their Group 4 fitments. What's the difference between group 4 and the capri legs? If i.m right the diameter of the insert as it goes into the top mount is larger, but is that all? Thanks
  2. Jay ps where are you getting these picture from? there all taken in the same scrap yard, Micheal Douglas's in Carlisle that mk2 cortina is the one i was talking about. The transit camper is in the "walled off area" which means you cat get in to rob parts from it
  3. NO WAY thats my local scrap yard!! If anyone want the kit or car i can make enquires/ see if its still their. The mk1 capri next to it was in alright condition when i first saw it but now its in a bit of a state. Further up the row their is also a mk2 cortina

    Amazing...

Don't worry he fell off a good few times doing some of them, i've seen him about edinburgh a couple of times, a lad on my course goes out riding with him.
  5. just added everyone and it took agggggeeeeees treflipthegap@hotmail.com thats mine btw
  6. Are the front dampers in good nick? Sometime a shagged damper can cause the car to dive about under braking
  7. Hi all, I just fitted a set of harnesses to my Capri and old pops reckons it will mean I'll get pulled over by the police more often since it might look like I'm not wearing my seatbelt. Does anyone know the requirements for having harnesses? For instance do I need to still have the standard seatbelt in place and make up some separate mounting points? Just want to make sure everything is legal in case i do get pulled. Thanks
  8. good job i checked the fourm just now, i had complely forgot about this meet....luckily i dont have any jobs on so il see you guys there

  14. Cheers I'll keep that in mind, the kit form it is especially with delivery time like that....the only downside is that it means i wont be able to go out this month i bet the government would be thrilled to hear what i'm spending my student loan on
  15. Well I went to set the point gap before on the car and now il be buggered if i can get it to start again! So i've decided to Megajolt it this month, looking at ordering the stuff tonight, just wondering if i should go for the kit of the ready built item? I can solder but i've not done anything major like that before, has anyone had any experience with the kit version before? ta
