^^^^what he said....^^^^ Its alright if the meet is local but its no fun for those that have to sit on the Motorway in a straight line for an hour with a 4.1 diff and only 4 gears only to get there for a poor turnout. Have done this a few times for example Ace Cafe but I had better gearing though. And lets be honest no one wants to stand in a car park when its pouring down. I am thinking positive, its gonna be sunny and dry, but I will take a brolly anyway

I know what you are saying it's showers all week from the look of the forecast but the sun has been coming out from around 5pm onwards and staying dry in the evenings locally so fingers crossed. I have seen another 4 Capris today on my travels, a brown mk2 in Stewkley, a red mk3 in Thame, a black mk3 in Wolverton oh maybe it was only 3 then but they were all being used and it was raining. Phil or Glynn have you caught up with the Lotus Cortina driver or the Yellow Granada man yet, I have seen the Granada but he was going the other way.

Haha good point I have never been asked this before, once while we was there a modern car got stuck on the popup bollards after following the car in front. You need a 4 digit pin number to get out, ask at the bar as the code changes monthly. When you get to the bollards key in the number watch the bollards lower and wait for the green light. Never follow a car through even if the green light stays on. Glyn I told you at MK we get Capris come to this meet aswell, not had a Cortina yet so you are more than welcome

Last month we had a good turnout of Escorts which included 5 mk1's and 7 Mk2's. The car park was a dream for any Ford enthusiast, if you like to get up close and see escorts from old school xflows and pintos to engine conversions which included a redtop, an NA Cosworth, an ST170 and even a Rover V8 I am sure you will agree there was something to keep everybody interested. More then half the people that turn up to the meets have cars that are being restored or modified etc. in sense its being restored and its not able to go any where just yet..... ....and i feel like id have to turn up in a osf not a car I don't care what anybody thinks of my daily driver. If you are local you should come and visit, meet some people and see some cars.

No I am not a member as I don't have a Capri. I have been to Phil's garage for help in the past, he also worked on a friends mk1 Escort. I have been on his website and sent him a message, if you speak with him can you let him know please. This meet is for all old Fords, we have Capris, Anglias, Cortinas, Fiestas and a Corsair as well as Escorts. (The Corsair is off the road till next month, "I lie a lot")

It was a great turn out, 12 Escorts an early Cosworth and 2 Fiestas and about 30 people, come on you Capri boys don't be shy come to the next meet, would love to see some other old school Fords at the next meet in Luton.

Blimey Tim that was quick. To be honest there could be 2 there could be 12, I dont know as it is a late cancellation and I am hoping to contact as much people as I can but it will be further to travel for some but nearer for others so I cant say. I know of 3 more Escorts in MK that are on the road this month but not finished, and a couple more guys I know who have projects so there will no doubt be more people than cars. I will let you know if I get a list of more than 10 cars. Capris, Cortinas, Anglias etc are welcome to come along.
