  3. I can't really see her taking it to court. It would get laughed out. Theoretically you sold somebody elses property. Without written permission to do so, I would say you were in the wrong. However, given that it fetched only £80 on ebay (as true market value) and you still have text off the old trout saying what work needed doing, I would be tempted to let her take you to court. I also note that you say they WERE freinds of yours, I would keep it that way
  4. Now trying to get this to the longest daftest thread ever to appear, I am gonna make a suggestion. That is that you raise the back of the car, not front. The back will be lighter, and less fluids to drip on your Scooby.
  5. It is my opinion that Mr Moyles is about as funny as a dose of syphillis. A typical egocentric who finds himself amusing, and purports to be an entertainer of sorts. Apart from apparently practicing anal self insertion, his musical tastes are somewhat lacking for a person of his advancing years. Or in laymans terms, I can't stand the big mouth jumped up northern twat.
  6. I wouldn't mind a picture of that on garage wall. Colour against monochrome is stunning. But could it have colourful spelt right please?
  7. It's been a while since I posted gents (and wenches). The truck has now got a lot more miles on it, used as often as possible. It's a little thirsty, I reckon about 22 to a gallon, but the carb is probably knackered. One or two things broked on it, the major one being a problem with the clutch. It turned out that the clutch was ok, the slave cylinder was knackered, due to being fitted by a prick, and the clutch arm wasn't fitted properly. Speedo cable has broke, I am waiting on new one. Also fitted temperature gauge, as they don't have one as standard, and a 12 volt socket for phone or satnav. And a vinyl headlining. Biggest acolade so far is a pitch at the recent Classic Car Show at the NEC. The truck attracted a lot of interest, and I was quite humbled with all the attention. To me it's just a project that I bought and restored, my babby. Others tell me it's stunning. One bloke wanted to buy it, to add to his collection. When I asked him how many in his collction, the answer was 57 cars, so I suppose he has a bob or two. Here's a pic for your amusement
  8. Time to start getting snotty then. How old are the children, has he paid maintenance for them all the time they have stayed with their mother? Make sure that you get a defined access order so you can see them on a regular basis. If you have to give him any money towards maintenance, DO NOT give him any cash. Make sure that you give him any monies in a cheque. Get a notebook, and any conversations that you have, any phone calls, any anything, however trivial it may seem , note it down. Good luck
  9. Was it very gloss black, or just black? I only know of one black one round these parts, lives in Wolves, with a rather rapid Cossie in it.
  10. I a hoping to come in the truck, and a mate is hopefully coming from Derby in his. What's this all about?? dont think you can bring an osf on the day m8 Are you saying that people who spend years rebuilding something wont be allowed to show it? Seems a bit wrong somehow
  11. Try starting withoout filler cap on, could be tank is vacuuming if breather blocked./ Try removing fuel pipe at carb end, and blowing, could be shit blocking outlet from tank. Try jerry can idea, possibility of rubber fuel pipe closing up on itself in fuel line.

    garage

Going back to your introduction, what are you going to use the garage for? I know that sounds daft, what I mean are you going to store finished cars in there, or just work on them? Now the reason why I am asking is if you are going to store finished cars, it would be nice to sheet that end of the garage off, so you dont get dust, grinder shit etc on your car, and that is easier to do if you have a 4 x 1 garage, rather than a 2x 2 garage No idea about your pit. If you do then fit some fume extractors at the bottom while you have digger on site. Decent industrial type extractor fan, through ducting, such a s plastic drainpipe to the outside world. And fit decent electric supply to the pit, rather than trailing leads across the floor down into the pit. Hope this is usefull Andy
  13. Reading between the lines of this thread, it appears to me that a) Michael Jackson has croaked there are a lot of fans on here c) people think MJ was bigger than Led Zep, Queen, Madonna, and Beethoven together d) MJ is still dead Right, I will tthrow my twopennorth in. He was a brilliant artist, incredibly talented. He is dead. He was barking mad, but in the lifestyle he had gained for himself, i suppose that's acceptable. i like Led Zeppelin to Patsy Cline, Vivaldi to OMD. Hell, I even like some MJ stuff. But here's the question. Does the assembled panel think that the whole MJ is brown bread thing has got out of hand, radio full of his stuff all day, TV full of coverage of him? Are they gonna have 5, 10 year anniversary celebrations, just like Diana, and keep asking the same old questions over and over? The bloke is dead FFS, let him rest
  14. I'm outta here, off to India to work in a call centre innit, cos I is obviously not British. If that is an accurate test, how the hell do they keep coming in? And I wonder how many your average MP would score......
