My Dad had an N reg 1300 L and I remember that being scrap in 1983 It was so rutsy it wasn't worth repairing No wonder decent ones go for good money now

That so looks like what my mates car should Is that the standard steering wheel on a de luxe? It looks like a mark 1 transit wheel, I hope that doesn't cause offence because it looks awesome. It's so nice to see another F plate one Out of interest when was that one first registered? They haven't found the logbook for my mates one yet.

Apart from the steering wheel and possibly the stripes everything seems standard. Does anyone have any photos of a standard de luxe?

It's thought to have been taken off the road somewhere between 1975 & 1977. The last tax disk that has been found ran out in 1975 The car belonged to my mates girlfriends Uncle. He died in the summer last year and the car had been sat locked away in his garage and nobody knew it was there until they started clearing his house out The house was also locked up when he moved out of it some years ago and nobody had been in it That is good that we know the colour and I wasn't sure about the stripe, I'll have a look at the steering wheel to see if there are markings on it but it looks great and very period. Thanks everyone for your help and comments. As soon as I'm allowed to post photos I'll post the story of what has happened in the last month since finding it

A mate of mine has just bought a mark 1 escort de luxe on an F plate but we don't know much about it. A search on google hasn't even bought up another one so we don't know if the stripe down the sides is standard, if it's got an aftermarket steering wheel, how many there are etc so anything you know would be useful.
