Well its worth a shot for the money isnt it...even on just an area I had areosoled it as a 'make do' til I could afford a respray-just as an experiment..if it goes wrong then I will have to do it properly

Just been reading up on paint for my Capri as I want to respray the car on a budget-best way of doing this i suppose is to do it myself. Ive got a compressor and will have to construct some sort of booth (I will be doing this when the weather is better-not at the minute,its far too cold ) I will have to get a gun and the paint etc.... Well I went to a Ford Meet 45 miles away from my house last night and it took me and hour and half to get home due to the freezing fog!At one point I honestly couldnt see much further than 10 feet ahead on the back country roads Once I was out on the dual then I was back up to speed but when I got home the front of the car was a block of ice

Ahhh that makes sense.Mines a 1977 I bought a can of 'Roman bronze' from Halfrauds and it didnt come out anything like my cars colour.However I went down a proper paint supplyers and got them to mix up some paint which looks pretty much spot on-just now did a coat and it seems much better

yep-I know the car was resprayed many years ago so I guess it might be a bit different to what it should be

Bump I bought a can of Roman bronze but it just doesnty seem to match.

I had.. 1980s Universal 'Panther' then an 80s Rayleigh Burner.Then got a bright orange Mongoose then a KHE Trooper with the weird internal gyro actually inside the headtube (you know what I mean)...came off a set of trails trying to jump a newly built set,cleared it first time but was bit fast so slowed down on the second attempt and put the front wheel into the back of the landing and bust my wrist and forearm..never rode again

My 1968 Mk1 Escort 2 door 1100 with no rust (all cut out) on the road with 10 months MOT-£600!!!!! 5 years ago My 1960 100E POP,MOT just expired,MINT shell and original car,needed respray...£350 4years ago!!!! Makes me mad when I see shells of the abovve cars going for twice what I sold for!

Just thinking back to Mk2 RS2000 I saw in a yard about 5 years ago.Looked mint but needed a windscreen and some welding on the sills for the MOT but I turned it down for £500 I had a Mk1 in bits at the time so couldnt afford it .How much would it be worth now?
