    Same mentality as this 80's craze... From: To: ... just plain wrong! The only redeeming thing about it all is that cutdowns are worth pennies now & original bikes are reaching record prices. Much like the Ford scene. ... take that vehicle molesters!!!

    Hi everyone, thought I'd pop by & introduce myself as I've just got a Cortina. I've had a Mk2 for years but I took it off the road & it's become one of those unfinished projects. I saw this Mk1 Consul for sale & couldn't resist. She's a tatty but solid four door with bench seats and manual column shift. I've also noticed it's got an airflow front end... I dont have any outrageous plans for her as she's my daily driver. Just going to slowly clean her up. I wouldn't mind dropping a crossflow or a pinto in there but I want to keep the column shift box... is that even possible?!? Anyway, hopefully I can meet up with some of you lot soon & pick your brains. I'll post some pics when I have ten posts. Cheers, Matt
