Nearly there now Exhaust and carbs fitted. Got to bleed the brakes, then oils and coolant and then a few interior items and loads of little bits n pieces. Mot booked for sat. Fingers crossed.

I had my first mk2 escort when I was 17 a £50 motor with a knackered 1st gear and all the panels and parts required to repair. Learned to weld and painted it signal orange to make a Mexico replica but it never made on the road, despite being 95% finished so got sold for peanuts. I think I brought a 6x4 shed with the money! Go forward to 2007 brought a signal orange mk2 Mexico dug out the welder and in summer 2013 finally got an Escort road legal. Been smiling, spending and stressing ever since. Got the gearbox fitted tonight. I got loads to sort Windscreen to fit Front spoiler New Carbs & exhaust to fit New brakes to bleed etc Wiring etc A few late nights in the workshop will see it done. Before Last years classic ford smashed the diff to bits on the Wednesday got a replacement fitted very late Friday night ready for the Saturday!

Cheers for the welcome I was fortunate that the car only needed some minor fabrication work with included rear valance , petrol tank well , spare wheel well etc and loads of time removing old under seal etc and repainting the floor etc. It still wearing the paint from the previous owner , it's not 100% paint wise it needs some tlc but its needs to be driven
