  1. Cheers fella, any contact details?
  2. Like a goon I just realised......it was late I'm in Surrey, South of the M25 but can travel a short distance
  3. Does anybody know of or have a workshop/unit that they wish to rent out or sub let a little bit of space to help sort out my capri?? not looking to do a full resto....doesnt need it but somewhere for general maintenance etc is all i'm after! I'm a nice, honest, ford nutter who is a little screwed for space at the mo and more than happy to pay the going rate!!! Can anyone in OSF land help me out???
  4. Coming from Dorking if you want to meet?? Typically my Capri's outta tax and I'm skint ...so ...I'll hook on to the back of the pack, keeping a low pro in a focus unfortunately...... Graeme
  5. You have a choice, either use the orginal rear seat belt mountings or you can get eyes and strengthening plates for harnesses from most suppliers and drill your own holes.....or fit a cage and run them from a bar mounted on the diagonal, now worries then
  6. That bad you had to say it twice eh! Sorting the prop is no problem, as If I dont fancy it we have a workshop full of coded welders. I'm assuming that it's not going to be as simple as changing the rear casing over and the out put shaft fromthe 2wd box will have to used - not having had a 4x4 box apart yet I dont know how the transfer box takes its drive so that will have to be removed as well. Made a decision tonight to get a type 9 and build up a mt75 just so that I can use the damn thing in the meantime!
  7. Cheers gentlemen, the plan is starting to formulate..... I'll get in touch with them to see how forth coming they are with information! £400 and you still have to modify the prop....very steep me thinks
  8. First things first though....how do you add a pic to a message? or am I a thick fool? Cheers
  9. Anyone own a tango orange 1300 e going by the reg above?? did have orange revolution 4 spokes and a 1600 kent, rallye design exhaust system and chocolate fish net recaros. Hasnt been taxed in a couple of years...... If YOU'VE got it want to sell me it back?????
  10. Cheers Gents Its probably a cardinal sin and no one is going to ever reply to my posts again but....what makes a plastic ford a plastic ford? My capri is '85 my saph is '89 - 4 years - cant be the bumpers cas the mark 3 escort has them! Cant be the drive train cos the sierra is RWD....... 29 years (all my life!) ive been analysing, watching, enjoying fords but still i'm no closer to the answer....perhaps one for the general chit chat room???
  11. Sounds easier than it is, the bellhousing on this particular box is fixed unlike the v6 versions (which I can find none of!) and even the the bolt patterns look completely different. Does anyone know if there is a how too guide that someone may have done??????
  12. Thats cheap at the mo but how many people are watching/waiting?????? Could do with seeing the underside etc, shame about the contour seats, but then probably had his arm pulled off, typical fleebay....
  13. well to cut a long story short.....my type 9 is totally shot and Ive seen a mt75 from what looks to be from a four pot Granny. Now I know the input shaft is not long enough but, how much grief would it be changing the internals over and getting a longer input shaft? What casing should I use? I know the prop will need a slight modification but does the work involved outweigh the good points? got just over an hour before it runs out on ebay - prob shouldnt of said that!!!!! Your thoughts please......
  14. Well, howdy, Been reading posts on here for a while (in all this time ive only just noticed this area!) and reallyuenjoy the knowledge ive read, floating around on the interweb! So, my car(s) Firstly, upsetting to some, I do have a bit of plastic fantastic which ive owned for coming up 5 years in the shape of a 2wd Sapphire Cosworth - trying to keep the old sideways action alive and kicking! Secondly, 2 weeks ago I talked the other half into letting me buy a 2.8i capri which was the first car I experienced a bit of rear end action in....easy! The car was on pistonheads so if you saw/can still see a capri - blue over silver on the back of a trailer - thats the one! £130 and shes road legal for the year not including the new gearbox I need as the existing output shaft bearing is foooooked beyond belief but hell, its pretty good where it needs to be! Well for now, that'll do as the missus has just asked me if i want a vodka.....and its kind of appealing for someone thats been screing around with poxy roadsweepers all day....
