think im aloud to post pics up now.. so heres my previous fords, not "oldskool" but still G reg's... my first escort (totally stripped with a 1.6 cvh).. 2nd (mint shell, interior out of a concourse rs turbo, and a 1.6 cvh efi turbo engine pushing out 151bhp before the grs cooler and more boost).. when i bought it... when i sold it.. grs cooler and twin 10" kenlowes peeking out... and my current one (totally stripped, 6 point cage 1.6 cvh with a few tweaks) on road track car... i know there not oldskool as such but atleast they aint newer shape round escorts (mk5/6/7)

would it be possible to pick up a clean honest (pref 1.3 as it will be a daily runner, and the costs of petrol etc are a joke) 2 door mk2 in red for my budget? i will most likely have atleast 2k to spend, maybe if i can put some money away, i will have 3k max... im after something basically the same as this (looks wise) not expecting anythink special under the bonnet etc though obviously

guessing the ghia will be a 4door.. looking at the mk2 2 doors now, will have to see how much ive got together at the end of this year/start of next

im more of an escort chap myself, do like the mk1 fezzys though.. well il be 19 and have 2 years no claims next month, still think it would be cheapish? wouldnt have nothing special done to it, exhaust, lowerd alloys..just so it looks nice and subtle..

no way am i expecting concourse for 2/2.5k but would like a nice example... also whats insurance like on the mk1/2 escorts? and theres nothing wrong with 4doors, but i just prefer 2

how much difference in price is a mk1 to a mk2? both 2doors as i dont realy like the 4doors.. could i pick up a better mk2 for my budget then? if so what kind of car could i get?
