to be honest ive got a feeling that they are in Brazil. I was in Mexico (i think, could have been Cuba, cant really remember when it was) but i saw a mk1 escort in a reallyyyyy weird spec but the kind of spec that reminded me of something else... and then i realized what it was. it was built the same way as them old vw beetles they still make is Brazil. All the parts that were meant to be chrome were black, had these odd wheels on but aparently ford, everything looked standard and factory fitted and the car looked like it was a couple of years old, but wasnt a mint restored car, just a daily driver. ive been trying to find out but i havnt really got very far with this. imagine knowing where they are made and buying some...

he says he wants to keep it for the shell and other parts it has which he might need... if i manage to get him to change his mind too close to the time i move to tenerife, ill let you know. he said if he decides to sell it i get dibs (i think because i ask so much, haha)

its at silverstone and yea it could definately be revived really easily. i ring him at least once a month to see if he's changed his mind. he has about 10-15 mk2's in those livery's was a good day learning 'proper' rally techniques in a mk2 though
