Anyone on here going on the Lakes Tour next weekend?

Well that's it all done also road tested today and it's simply stunning, up and till now with the rear axle configuration I have on this car I thought I had a lot of grip, but now it's a handful just to keep it in a straight line

Now that the car has been well tested over the summer months with no major hic-ups, it was always my intention to upgrade the engine to Supercharged over the winter months, yet another delve into the unknown. For the techy minded: using a blower from a Merc SLK230, using a by-pass system from a Mini Cooper, also going to try water/methanol injection to keep the charge temp down on WOT as I have no room for an ugly inter-cooler system

£600 all in with wideband controller, 240hp & 215lbs @ 5500, a lot of head scrathing to get all working but interesting work, worth it in the end

It's a 2.5 V6 Duratec from a Mondeo, the only mods are: I removed all planet saving stuff from the engine and fitted up a Microsquirt engine management system. Cheap as chips and goes very well

this is my fun car for the Summer months. This car has had a full nut and bolt restoration 6 years ago now and has covered 6500 mls since hassle free. It was the intention to make the car as much a Mexico (if not better) as possible with period mods only allowed, the only item I can think of that is not from 1970 is the CD player (blame the wife for that one) the car runs extremely well and wouldn't part with it for the world
