Hi, thanks for all your replys. The engine is a zetec 16v lump with forged pistons,steel rods, balanced/shotpeened crank etc and ha ent quite fi alised the spec of the head yet. The turbo im using is a hybrid gt28/t34 turbo with internal wastegate. For the time being i will be running. Approx 18-20 psi boost which will see me @ around 320bhp which should be plenty in a mk1 fiesta. But the bottom end will be good for over 400,turbos good for up to nearly 400 so i might up it in the future. Just seems quite alot of agro:( How can i see what spring is in it? How can you tell what strength it is? Also, ive run the external wastegates vent back into theexhaust system, so will it sound no different to an internal one now? Was thinking it would be too loud for track use..

hi, i got a tubular manifold and it came with a tial wastegate fitted...... I only really wanted the manifold but being it was on it. i decided to keep,and run the external wastegate. Thing is, i have got a clue on how they work, or how you plumb them in. Ive got a greddy profec b boost controller too as i was told i would need one..... after trying to look into it a bit more, i see you need to change springs for different pressures etc....... i havent opened it up to see what spring is in it..... could someone please show me pics so i can understand them a bit better..... and explain what goes where? also,being my car will need running in when its fully restored, how do i go around setting this up to accomodate this(i.e what spring will i need etc) eventually after running in, i will want to run a maximum of 20 psi boost pressure so will i need to chane the spring again to accomodate this? what benefits do you get running an external wastegate? as im starting to think i made a mistake going this route any help would be great

heard it was actually attempted to be released in 2007,but it flopped so they recalled it,changed the ending, hyped the hell out of it this time,used good marketing, and now this time round,its worked. Havent seen it,but not really heard great comments from people i know have seen it.

been signed up on here for a while, and some of the cars on here are jaw dropping. currently have a mk1 fez,gone too far to turn back so im sure you will see it next show/track season...... would love a mk1 or mk2 escort but i cant afford the sort of spec i would want we can all dream though and i will use the common words........... ONE DAY lol
