Hi a few pics of my mk1 mexico juat been pulled out the garage needs a good clean !!!!!! please ignore the slot mag black rear wheel only on car as other wheels was being "touched up" and cleaned for show season !!!!! yeehaa. Hope you like her i will post better pics when cleaned and polished prior to going to a show later this year. Regards

Sounds dumb but never pushed her that hard in 3rd lol, will give it a try see what happens she drives lovely at an other time than those speeds tis very bizarre!!! Regards

Thanks for the suggestions but all items in those areas is ok, might get the prop rechecked. Vibration is deff running gear related can feel it through gear stick, could it just be a live with it senario attached to the WCXM ??? There is NO play at all in the engine mounts! hhhmmm regards

Hello mate thanks for the reply, i have had the prop checked all is well also had wheels balanced the only thing i can see is the movement in the gearbox "output" bearing as stated above. Everything else seems spot on, vibration only happens between 65 and 70 mph and then the car pushes through it. Cheers

Hi was wondering i am still locating my mexico vibrations and have noticed the "output" bearing ie where prop enters box has some play in all directions is this normal??? or should that union be solid with no play? Am at wits end with this vibration have tries everythingnow lol Cheers

Hello i have a 1973 escort mexico and believe that if the car was built pre 73 ie 72 this could qualify for tax exemption?? is this true does anyone know? also if so how do i prove the "build date" etc to try and arrange this? Any help would be great regards

Hello just joined today thought i would say ello! I have a mk1 mexico 73, bought her mostly built but have concentrated all my time on the engine bay carbs etc and a damn good clean.
