  1. Fantastic day! I was there in my old Capri, now given to my bro in law. Red 2.1 laser (destriped and without any side bump strips and with a turbo tail) Car got painted (2 pack paint and baked) on thurs, refitted on fri, at show on sat!! Had last minute engine problem which took 1/2 hour to fix, rocker lock nut decided to loosen.... Thanks to everyone who made it a great day. Oh by the way, if anyone heard me, I was the guy that shouted from the members bridge "That's the slowest Le Mans start I have ever seen" when the owners had to walk back to the cars on the track!! Here she is in all her glory, D95 NTX
  2. Yup great issue, nice to see my 2.8i and 2.0 laser/ 2.0s in readers cars! Nice one thanks..
  3. Hi Mike, I am not too far away and also have a 2.8i, is the car driveable? I am only 20mins away. Do you want me to have a look?
  4. Treat yourself to some spray nitromors paint remover and go "wandering" in the night! Know what I mean!

Mk 4 cortina was a 1600l auto when I got her, mot'd her the next day and then converted it to manual and a 2.3v6 all out of a scrap 2.3 ghia(seats as well) Quite a nice car but paint was shabby. White capri was a 3.0 ghia with the 1/2 x pack kit. granada was 3.0 ghia auto Black capri was a 2.0 ghia I do like the ghias!! Plenty more photos to follow if you are all interested.

  8. Sorry here goes.. Before damage
  9. Went to get into Capri today and guess what? Some scumbag has totalled the drivers door, scrapes and dents etc. Door is completely scrap! Just about able to open it. Happened at work and was technically a 'hit and run' as no one has owned up or saw anything. Now need replacement door and paint, unless I can get a nimbus grey door?? Arghhhhhhh!!!!
  10. Agree with all of you. Although I dont wish this terrable illness on anyone, she really is a bit too much in the "limelight" so to speak. My late Gran had cancer for over 25 years and the whole family saw her die a terrible, long, agonising death. Not nice.. I think this, and previous, governments should pump millions into a cure and research for this, instead of giving big payouts to banking bossess!! Sorry everyone, must get off my soap box now.
  11. Bring to mind the old joke about sh*t in the carb! Very funny
  12. Welcome!
