I had a similar experience with them, I purchased a pair of contour seats but they never arrived, I was told after about 5 weeks that they were sent out to the wrong person?? Luckily I paid through paypal so I got my money back.

No mate sorry but Lewis had them on standard mk2 escort runners though, you can usualy pick a set up for about £20 on Ebay and they will bolt straight on to the seat frames. I have unpacked one of the seats to get some more pics, as said above Lewis bought these seats from classic trim and to be totally honest I have to say the quality of the workmanship on the trimming isn't fantastic, the frames are great, quality of the vinyl itself & the stitching etc is fine but some of the seams look a bit wavy & a little un-professional in places. That said I am being a bit fussy & I think there still a bargain for £450 and they are totally usable & as brand new condition and very comfy. If nobody buys them in the next week or two I think I'll just let a trimmer have a fiddle with them to make them 100% and keep them myself for the cortina. Pics...

I bought these contour seats from Lewis but I have decided they're not what I'm wanting so they're back on sale, I would like £450 back for them which is the price I paid. Can be posted for about £20-25 ish or I can bring them to the Classic ford show with me if that helps? Thanks Darren

I'm interested in the smiths gauges, would you take £50 for them? I presume their for a 12v system not 6v? Does the oil gauge come with the pipe and how the hell does the fuel consumption one work? Cheers Daz

That's cool Yeh I've seen your car on all the wheels & it's been the car that makes me want to build a mk2, it's spot on! I just really have my heart set on a mk1 at the moment but to be fair everytime I have a mk1 I see a pic of your car & start hankering after a mk2 0n 8's again. My mk2 would be ideal too because it has factory rolled arches that are mint. I just cant choose.... need both! Well it might happen yet Alan, I've had about 30 odd calls & stacks of offers near to the mark but just not quiet there, no-one has shown up to see it yet though. There is a guy meant to be coming round in the morning and a few saying they'll ring Sunday to view but if it doesn't go this weekend I might just crack on with it? All that puts me off is I want to build something to a good spec and i'll probs have 13 - 14k in it once it's done, but being a base model car I would never get that back for it & I'm not known for keeping cars a long time. I love mk2's but mk1's just have the edge for me personally & I would prob end up selling the mk2 for less than it cost me to build?

I don't get it either mate? Changing his mind about buying it is one thing, it's sh*t but not the end of the world, what annoyed me was why tell me sat night that he'll be setting off at 7am Sunday to collect it but then just not come - not even tell me he's changed his mind so I end up waiting in for him all day? Oh well I might end up keeping it yet anyways. It's your bloody car that's messing with my head haha, i was convinced I wanted another mk1 but every time I see a pic of yours on those black minilites I think I should keep the mk2. Trouble is I would want black minilites so it would sort of be a replica of your car which I'm sure you wouldn't be happy about. I fancy painting it a different colour though? Perhaps the green colour that they had on 100e's? Or shark blue? Or RS1800 replica on black 8's. Or just sell it? I really can't make a decision on it

I'm surprised your's hasn't gone by now dal, it looks like a real tidy thing and the price seems fair for a genuine car? i've been lucky with E-bay in the past - not had too many messers really. The guy that was buying mine has a mk1 twink & is a regular poster on T/S, he seemed like a genuine buyer until yesterday when he just didn't turn up or get in touch?? I was wondering if something had happened on the way up the motorway or something, sent him text's to make sure all was well etc, no reply though and still blanking me today? I looked on his Ebay page last night though and he put 11 new items up for sale at 9pm and has been on T/S today so he's obviously just changed his mind. Wouldn't of hurt him to let me know so I wasn't waiting in for him all day though. Beginning to think I need to just keep it, chuck the zetec in that I have sat here and drop it 3" on some 8x13 minilites

Yeh I think I might try that, like you say it will give genuine buyers a better chance to buy it, cheers
