Due to Ebay timewasters I am now selling off Ebay. Sadly I am having to sell my Tax exempt 1971 Ford Escort Mexico, This car is a road legal replica of the car raced by my Father Ray Vale in the 1970's sponsored by Status Quo & Premier Drums. This car is an absolute one off! The roof has been autographed by the original 4 members of Status Quo! there is not another car the same as this anywhere in the world!!!! The car was completely restored between 2005-2007 with many new parts including complete new brake system which included master cylinder, M16 calipers, rear shoes and cylinders and complete copper brake lines, various new panels were also fitted plus loads of other work. I can email pictures of the rebuild to anyone interested in the car. The car was featured in Classic Ford magazine in Feb 2008. The modifications include: Bubble arches Fibreglass bonnet with bulge 1 off Aluminium front spoiler 1 off boot spoiler made by fibresports Shaved door handles with electronic remote opening Engine is a full race spec 1700 xflow with dry sump running twin 45 webber carbs & micro dynamics electronic ignition (full engine spec avaliable on request) Gearbox is a 5 speed type 9 which is mated via a New 1 piece RS propshaft to a Quaife automatic torque biasing diff Front suspension is adjustable coil over type built by Gaz shocks on concentric top mounts and the rear is lowered 4" with decambered single leaf springs fitted with Spax adjustable shocks Polybushed front suspension World cup cross member The car is fitted with 9X13 four spoke revolution alloys running 215/50x13 tyres Front seats are Corbeau GT8 period seats and rear seat is the original Mexico beta cloth type The car is also fitted with a pair of rare period Britax racing harnesses (these are fetching in excess of £300 alone on Ebay) The original car has an amazing history being featured in many newspapers and even in one of the Status Quo autobiographys from the 1970's/80's The buyer will be supplied with a CD full of pictures and other documents from the original car and also the many magazine features Etc done with the replica car. The car is fully hand sign written (NO VINYL) with the various Status Quo album titles just as the original car was. Nice number plate valued at £950 Something that makes this car extra special to any Quo fans out there is that the roof of the car has been autographed by John Coghlan, Francis Rossi, Rick Parfit & Alan Lancaster, the original four members of Status Quo (The Frantic Four) and I have attached the photos of this being done. Any veiwings will be by appointment only, no tyre kickers, please don't waste my time, if you don't have the funds to buy the car but would like to view it feel free to check out the Feb 2008 issue of Classic Ford magazine! £15000 No Offers You can check out my Retards Club group here: https://www.Retards Club.com/groups/233650943318745/ Also my youtube videos at:

Just to let everybody know the Classic Hot Rods will be racing @ Arena Essex on Sunday 16th August, so if you wanna see some fast sideways action from some proper cars inc Mk1 & 2 Escorts/ 105e's , not all that spaceframe stuff you see all the time on the ovals nowdays, get your bums down there! Give this formula the support it deserves!.......I will be taking my Status Quo mk1 Escort (before anyone asks no I will not be racing with the others!!) I just like to get a bit of wind under the arches every now and then! Hope to see you all there! Dean
