The next meet at the Moathouse is this Sunday 30th Sept but we won't be there as we are going up Hednesford Hills Raceway for the PRE 68 banger meeting

A good turn out of cars again on Tuesday night,again we was the only MK3 Tina till it was nearly dark when our mate turn up in his left hand drive MK3 Tina.Didn't find out when the next meeting is But I should think it would be on a Sunday.

Just found out this show is in the same field as the show in April,so going on with the weather lately it looks like a wash out waiting to happen.

We went to the Malvern show,waste of time again,stuck in that field,when we left there was only 7 stalls and they were covered up. About time Mr Greenwood got his shows back in the halls up by the Brown gate.

I know this could be a long shot,but has anybody on here built any MK 3 Cortina's into banger/race cars? The reason I ask is:-my latest purchase was the "Grada"MK3 but went I opened the box at home one of the rear lights were missing! The model shop has tried to get me another model,but without any luck. The rear light that is missing is the rear passinger side/NS Thanks

Have you tried attending die-cast collecting fairs? We picked up our first at Walsall Wood then got 2 from Stoneleigh for £50 Later we found 1 with bits missing for a couple of quid which was rebuilt as a banger.

I had all the saloons from Airfix in my youth(including the motorbikes) Only had the re-issue Zodiac custom which I built as a pick-up. I still have somewhere in the loft a Airfix MK1 escort sitting on a Scalextric chassis built as a Hot-Rod(oval track)

When we lived in Peel,our Cortina MK3 was MAN 2500(satin black paint and Essex V6),our Mini was 3478 MN(our phone number)we moved to Kirk Michael the Cortina was broken and turned into a Kit-Car(only finished back in England by 1991 and retained it's English number plate)the Mini gained 591 KMN and my Datsun 120A had KMN 591(again our phone number)all done for only £27 a time.

It's to celibrate 40 years of the MK3 Cortina.

Anyone from OSF going? The start is from Stratford Race Course but alot will meet at Warwick Services M40.
