  1. keen on some picks mate, especialy around the reservoir, as ive got the same problem. cheers
  2. cheers mate plan is to get the carbs running, then lower the front some more, and then eventually (when money allows) get a set of 195/45s to bring the car closer to the ground. then by then ill have no money and just drive it until something else breaks haha
  3. yeh ill have to come up with something to get the reservoir out of the way, and then there will be plenty of room for a nice set of trumpets
  4. id be lieing if i said i wasnt excited its a tight fit haha, especially by the brake reservoir, not sure what il do there. just need to get some studs, and a fuel pressure regulator and then start the ordeal that is setting up the throttle linkages haha wish me luck. also, have decided to convert to alternator after burning out my generator (or something). so car is on hold for a while. am flat out at uni so will probably have to wait till study week haha
  5. i got some just from the local auto supply shop. high tensile ones. nothing fancy/unusual about them just take the shock in and find what fits if you dont know the thread
  6. got some new shoes..... front is going to be lowerd a further 30mm (inch and a bit), will run a slightly smaller tyre on the rear (195/60) rears are 14x8s with 205/60s, fronts are 14x7s with 185/60s rims need painting also, and have bullet centre caps for them

  8. cheers for all the replys im actually at the other end of the country to the car at the moment, but am heading back down in 2 weeks, havent seen it since novmeber!! getting withdrawl haha going to hopefully fit the 14x8s, bit worried about clearance....and then drop it another inch or two depending on how the wheels sit. plan was to pull it off the road and to a respray in cream (i have all the paint) and tidy everything up, but i dont have the funds to do it properly, and i want to drive it for the summer

  15. haha you and me both. im hopeing like hell they fit. guards have all been lipped so im not worried about width outwards, but even on the 13s i have now, the tyres are very close to fouling on the struts up front. all shall be reviled when i have a chance to fit them up...fingers crossed
  16. get angry with it. wire brush on a drill/grinder will do the trick, and plenty of degreaser. make sure its 100% oil/grease/grime free before you paint it, otherwise you'll regret it
