  1. Thanks for the comments.I didn't buy it in the end (someone else did the next day)...not much spare time and need to finish/start what I already have...would have been a nice addition though
  2. Went to see this one this morning. It's a 1982 manual 2.8i special. Zero rust, been resprayed at some point in original diamond white but to a good standard. Interior a couple of hairline cracks but presentable and all there including recaro seats. Matching engine and chassis. However, it's been sat in the garage for years...engine has some kind of problem apparently but owner couldn't give much details. Mileage was showing 35k but I think it's more 135k given from what I have seen... From the little research I've done, they seem to be rare beasts but what are these worth nowadays, couldn't find any for sale? Is there a common failure for 2.8i's? And how is the availability of parts?
  3. Great attention to detail...keep up the good work
  4. Cracking mk2 mate, love the colour Strange how someone put square headlamps in there whereas most ghias are converted to rounds I would leave everything as it is though...

  7. Repairs started...luckily no surprises:
  8. Not much of an update. Resprayed the bonnet and heater bubble of the mk1, refurbished the rad and cleaned the engine bay a bit. Also fitted the original steering wheel: As for the mk2, it was put back into daily use whilst the fiesta is in a sorry state. Started first time without even needing a battery charge after more than 6 months in the lock-up...good boy
  9. M'hemmx x'taghmel gbin...
  10. Sunglare and a truck in the middle of the road, I didn't even hit the brakes She was still wearing all the original panels Managed to source these parts: Now looking for a genuine wing without having to take out a mortgage...
  11. Yeah those aerials were very popular here in Malta - only issue being scraping through everything that came along from trees to low roofs
  12. Came across these old photos today of our 1300 super which was bought new by my dad. The first one was taken a few weeks after it was bought in August 1969 . The others are from the 70's, sitting first on a set of Dunlop D1's and later on Richard Grants. And these were taken last summer, didn't change much :
  13. Nice looks like an early 1300 super...would make a nice twin cam replica aswell:
  14. Prosit I've seen the lotus at a number of shows and I read its story somewhere, how it was bought etc... very nice car. And looking forward to see the anglia estate finished- have you already decided the colour?
